do not be the older brother
do not be the older brother
God morning! Thank you Lord for this day, thank you for sharing your time with us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus/Yahushua’s holy name...We thank you that we are filled with You in Love and Grace, as we learn more and grow in Your Word, and in You. Take from us anything that may hinder our growth, and anything that is not of You, we thank you for less of us more of You.
As we see one another as brothers, and sisters, as Your children, in One Body, and One Church...Your Church, as we walk under your protection from anything not of You, or Your will, as we are filled with your Word, and still in your peace, at your feet, we are Yours’, Blessed & grateful. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, the Son & Holy Spirit.
(Thank you, for all things in Yahushua's Holy Name...we say Ephphatha, “be opened”, to hearing, seeing, and speaking the Word, guided by the Holy Spirit..so be it. )
There will be finger-pointers, accusers, there will be liars, false teachers, and even false christs, as we are told in Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” He constantly reminds and warns us of false prophets, crooked religious and worldly leaders, seriously applies to these times as it did in His. He reminds us to follow Him, His Word and nature, in all humbleness, that the Father may use you in all situations. A prime example of religion vs relationship, is the pharisees and scribes, who make the Law their strong tower even though they don't follow it, as the rich man makes cash and wealth his. These two peoples go hand and hand, the law makers and the wealthy. Can you see yet?! Do not be like them. (one dirty hand washing another) We must make YHWH ours: Proverbs 18:10 “10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
Our very nature should reflect our Father, as in Christs’, is who we belong to. To be sons and daughters of the Most High we must do the will of the Father as Christ did till His end and beginning. He paid the price for us, and in doing so, He taught us the Way by showing us how its done, in what manner its done, and never faltering to its completion. (changeless, beginning and end)
Remember the feast or the great supper and all who were invited? Well those invited they were too busy for this mans feast and all made excuses so, this man went out and invited every group and social status to fill His house. This is the Parable of the Wedding Feast Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” There is a feast coming in the Kingdom of Heaven, who will be there? Those who follow my Servant, who take up His nature where I AM is first, who takes up his cross knowing the cost is this life(temporal) we have been given for Him, not us. If the life and liberty we’re given is in the pleasures of this world and we abuse this freedom Christ has given us, we will not make it to the feast. His sacrifice and YHWH’s, will not be mocked, we must be Salt, even in this crazy world, wherever we are, whatever we’re doing, do it unto YHWH…
Galatians 6:7 “7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Annnnnd, here we go again, the finger-pointers are back! This man this, this man that...we’re perfect, we’re sinless, ready...we only hang with the rich, and prominent, who appear to be good and blessed !
Ezekiel 34:11–12 “11 For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.” Ezekiel 34:16 “16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.”
This is Ezekiel, a man of YHWH, a prophet, they don't know this scripture? Lets try Isaiah 40:11 “11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with his arm, And carry them in his bosom, And shall gently lead those that are with young.” Nope, not this one either.
We see that some men are already in repentance mode, that’s the 99 right? But, some are still lost, should we leave them out, would YHWH leave them out? Absolutely not, He sends His own Son to get them, the name He carries is Yahushua...Yah saves, His name is Salvation! Can they at least see that? Joshua/Yahshua led the people into the promise land, not Moses...Hello? They cant see...still the Father wants to save ALL men!
1 Timothy 2:4 “4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
2 Peter 3:9 “9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
These men have no clue about a relationship to the Father, the characteristics of who He Is, and therefore cannot recognize the Messiah who is plastered throughout the scriptures in prophecy. Christs famous words: “He who has ears, let him hear, he who has eyes let him see, you do err, you misunderstand the scriptures”...very common phrases from Christ. (notice the lack of the Word of YHWH, even the Gospels, just traditions of men)
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
The prodigal son, aren't we all! To think we’re not we deceive ourselves as the pharisees do, we become the finger-pointers. In all we do we must understand that we can run to Him, YHWH, the Father, in Christ, we become the sons of YHWH. In His nature, under His instruction and guidance we come to repentance and relationship. We should run to Him! When we do He not only meets us, He runs to us, hugs us, kisses us, and welcomes us Home with a celebration, for we were dead without Him and now are alive! Look at all the things He brought to him, the Robe first Christ, the royal ring is YHWH’s family, shoes is the walk , salt and light, and for the supper, the sacrifice of the calf, then feast in celebration, just like Christs’ sacrifice came first, before the wedding feast.
A complete reminder of Christs teaching in Matthew 6:33 “33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” YHWH FIRST!
James 4:8 “8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
The first born gets the double portion right? Double minded? The worldly, the possessions, the ways of the world. He is now upset that the sinner is celebrated. The publicans and sinners earlier. If this son had a relationship with his father as the younger one did, he would be celebrating his brothers return as well. He has no clue about the Loving, Merciful and Gracious side of his father, just the laws he followed to get his double portion, to point his finger, to accuse, and to pridefully say, “look at me and all I have done” and what did I get? Does he love the Father? Does he love his brother? Remember, the two greatest commandments:
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Another reminder that we need Christ, He is the Way, Truth and Life Eternal! He is the Bread, The Vine, The Living Water, The Door, we need to go Home to Eternity. There is no other Way...
John 10:9 “9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
John 10:1 “1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”
ASK, ask, seek, knock, and He will answer you. Come as you are and He will clean you, you cannot clean yourself...Salvation is by the Grace of YHWH, in Christ alone, come Home!
Thank you Heavenly Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for guiding us, walking with us and never leaving or forsaking us...so be it.
