12 While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”
13 And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him.
Discuss why they may have missed some things because we are American and these men were Jews.

45 “The leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean.’
46 He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp.

I want to point out some specific words that need to be elaborated on.
Words that could be missed from an American point of view.
City:
The leper is supposed to be outside the city according to the law
Sometimes we have to get outside our comfort zones if we want to have our needs met
Full:
In the scripture we read, it says that the leper fell at his feet FULL of leprosy
The leper didn't clean himself up before he fell at the feet of Jesus
you cannot clean yourself up enough
The Bible says: Our righteousness is as filthy rags
If you came in here thinking that you are not worthy:
you may be saying sir you don't know
who I was
what I've done
If you think you need to fix all that … you're wrong.
You can't fix it. The leper couldn’t fix it.
But with one touch of the Master's hand, you can be made clean.
Just like that.
And then you will be Blood Bought.
You are as worthy as the price paid for you, and you were paid for with Jesus' blood.
Jesus paid his life for you.
Can:
Notice also in the scripture we read that it says
Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
He didn't say maybe.
He said Can
If you want a touch from Jesus you have to have Faith.
Faith is the key ingredient for a miracle
Without Faith, the Bible Says it is impossible to Please HIM.
Faith is required for a miracle
Immediately:
When Jesus touches you, it won't be a process.
it is right then at there.
He can change you instantly
We think that we need to drag ourselves through the mud.
Beat ourselves up.
Punish ourselves.
Suffer a little while.
But His touch is instant.
It works immediately
He already suffered for you.
He already took on the shame
He already took on the punishment.
You just need a touch from His nail scared hands.
Touched:
The most interesting part about this whole verse, or two verses, is the very fact
THAT Jesus Touched him.
It might seem insignificant to us Americans,
but Jesus was a Jew
Born and Raised as a devout Jew.
When he was 12 he was in the Temple schooling the elders on Books of the Law.
The law concerning touching things that were dead or unclean was black and white
You don't touch things that are dead or unclean..
Plain and Simple
Leprosy was considered a state of Living Dead, so he was both dead and unclean.
Jesus had every right to keep his distance,
he had every right to tell the leper to get out of the city where he belonged.
He had every right to hold his PAST over his head
But instead he TOUCHED HIM and changed his FUTURE forever.
He could have just said be cleansed,
but he chose to Touch him.
Love is required for a miracle
POINT 1:
Jesus will touch you no matter WHO you are/were
That means no matter how unclean you are,
or who you were before you walked into these doors,
what you've done in your past
WHATEVER CONDITION YOU CAME HERE IN TODAY JESUS CAN TOUCH YOU AND MEET YOUR NEED
If you came in here with:
SICKNESS Jesus can Touch you
A DRUG ADDICTION Jesus can Touch you
EMOTIONAL SCARS Jesus can Touch you
SIN IN YOUR LIFE Jesus can Touch you
He doesn’t overlook anyone, like we learned last week, and he is willing to touch anyone.
The leper said, If you are willing, and Jesus said… I am willing.
Despite what anyone tells you, It IS his will to touch your life.

Jesus will touch you no matter WHO you are/were

Not only can he touch you no matter who you are,
but he can also touch you any time.
Dont let the Devil convince you that God doesn’t have time for you
Don’t fall into the unbiblical lie that miracles happen at specific times

Jesus will touch you no matter WHEN you need it
He can touch you right NOW!
so, Jesus will touch you no matter who you are,
where you are,
or when you need it.
If you are wondering if the timing is right for a miracle
Wonder no more
That means, you shouldn’t let your past hold you down.
Don't let who you used to be,
effect who God wants you to be.

There are people in this city that need a Touch of Jesus, in fact we all do.
We’ve got to learn to see people through the Eyes of Jesus, and then be the Hands of Jesus and touch their life.
I know I would not be here today without some people seeing my potential, and touching my life.
It is easy to overlook people, and it is easy to keep your hands to yourself, but people are praying touched.
They want to be connected.
They want to be in the presence of Jesus.
They need healing
They need deliverance
They need a touch from the master’s hand.
We need to love them
Even if society says they are untouchable
Because I was once untouchable too
but thank God he loved me so much…

and you need a touch from the Lord
Let me just tell you that the time is right
He is willing
And he is able
Yes, he will
And Yes he Can
And yes, he wants to touch you
I’m not just talking about physical healing either
That’s the easy part for Jesus
But he is also able to heal your mind
If you’re here and you are struggling on the inside
and you think no one knows
and no one cares
and no one understands
Let me assure to you tonight
Jesus knows
Jesus cares
and Jesus understands what you are dealing with
And he can touch your mind right now
and bring you peace over any situation
He wants to put joy back into your heart right now
