My spouse doesn’t love me
My kids don’t respect me
My employer doesn't appreciate me
I want to die
If “the mind has died the color of its waking thoughts” then what one thinks about gives character to life. As good food is necessary for Bali health so good thoughts are necessary for mental and spiritual health.

Meditate on the Characteristics of God
Romans 12:1–3 “1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. 3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.”
Colossians 3:1–4 “1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
Psalm 1:2 “2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
Psalm 63:6 “6 when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night;”
Psalm 119:9 “9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”
