Thank God for the Anointing
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is not preached in many churches today. Go on YouTube. Any message on the anointing of the Holy Spirit, other than about 4-5 preachers, will be at least 10 years old. They do not want the Holy Spirit to come in and mess up their sophisticated, curated, and programmed 45-50 minute service.
It’s too messy for them. They lose control over the service. I we remove the Holy Spirit, what do we have left?
YOU HAVE AN ANOINTING - not just the preacher or the singers or musicians or teachers on a stage
When you receive Jesus, you are cleansed by the blood of Jesus and made a suitable house for the Holy Spirit. the Holy Spirit cannot come and live inside of you until Jesus comes and cleans you up. He is Holy.
Too many churches stop at the cross and the resurrection. Jesus came to die and save you from hell so you could go to heaven and they stop there.
If Jesus just saved you to give you a ticket out of hell and a ticket to heaven, the moment you got saved, he would have taken you out of here.
He saved you for a purpose. Jesus died, resurrected, and left. He left so the Holy Spirit could come and stay!!
He said, “It is better for you that I go away. For if I do not go, the Helper cannot come.”
HEAVEN - FATHER, WORD - Not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only person of the Godhead present and active in the Earth today and He is in you!
Anointed - evidence of the person, presence, and power of the Holy Spirit on your life.
Gifts of the Spirit
Words of knowledge, words of wisdom, gift of faith, gifts of healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning spirits, gifts of tongues, interpretation of tongues
These gifts are yours whenever you need them because the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. Break addictions, lay hands on the sick, drive out demons and diseases.
YOU KNOW ALL THINGS
Not in your mind but in your anointing.
In the person and power of the Holy Ghost inside of you, you know everything.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
What your eyes love, what your flesh desires, and whatever and whoever strokes your ego.
Two different desires inside of me. One wants the things of the world but I also have an anointing from God.
I have two distinct desires inside of me. What I choose to give in to will determine the course of my life.
If I give into those lusts, my life will end up in a complete mess. If you are driven by your lusts, you will only find destruction.
My greatest battle is not out there - my greatest battle is inside of myself.
ANOINTING - Christos - Christ -
In Christ - In the anointing - We have the mind of Christ (the anointing) - All your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ - My life is hidden in Christ.
We follow the things of the world and end up in a mess, then we blame the devil. “I bind the devil in Jesus’ name.” You are binding the wrong devil. You need to go look in the mirror. That is the devil you need to bind.
David was anointed. David’s toughest battles and greatest defeats never came on the battlefield.
Looked across the field at a 9-1/2 foot tall giant and said, “You come at me with a spear and sword. I come in the name of the LORD.”
But one day, he stood on his rooftop and could not take his eyes off of a woman bathing. His life began taking a downward spiral from that point until he repented.
He still had to endure the consequences of his sins even though he had repented and been forgiven. The child Bathsheba had died and the rest of David’s life was filled with bloodshed.
The anointing is too valuable to compromise!!!
Compromise will cost you everything!
SAMSON
We have been given the power to overcome the world but it is our choice to make.
If you do not conquer what is in you, it creates the mess around you!
Out of the heart flows the issues of life!
LUST OF THE FLESH, LUST OF THE EYES, PRIDE OF LIFE
These lusts fade - New Car -
Born of God - overcome the world - the power to overcome you!!
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Should walk in them - the choice remains yours. God has prepared everything for you before hand but it is up to you to walk in it.
Your days are written in a book before one of them ever comes to be. God has written the book beginning to end.
Stop praying like we want God to move. God has already moved. Jesus said It Is finished.
You have to stop trying to move God. God is trying to move you!! God wants to take you into something he has already prepared for you!
CREATED IN CHRIST!!!
We take you to the cross and stop. The cross is not a stopping place. It is an entry point.
Jesus said, “I am the door.” “I am the gate.”
Doors and gates are entry points. Jesus says, “You have to come through me to enter into a Kingdom life that was already laid out and prepared for you.”
The goal of Jesus was not just to save you and get you to heaven. His goal was to have you filled with the same spirit that filled him.
That is what it means to be anointed.
Jesus baptized, went to the synagogue and said,
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
Acts Acts 10:38
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Jesus never said anything about the anointing until after the dove descended upon him.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
Hypostatic Union
Jesus lived as a man filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to demonstrate to you and I the original intent of the creation of mankind. Man was always meant to walk in the anointing and to live in the anointing. Adam was created crowned with glory and honor. But he sinned and everything he messed up, it would take another Adam to fix. Jesus is the second Adam and the last Adam. Jesus came to undo everything Adam had done.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Glory - weight, authority
Adam - glory - whatever he said, heaven backed up. When he sinned, man could speak but the earth did not respond.
Jesus lived and went around talking to things, "Lazarus come forth,” cursed the fig tree, told wind and waves to stop and they listened.
Jesus said all authority under heaven has been given to me.
He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Everything that belongs to Jesus, now belongs to you. Why? because you are anointed with the same anointing that He walked in.
ALTAR
John did not say, “You might receive an anointing. He said you have an anointing from the Holy One.” The question today is not whether God still anoints, it is whether we have positioned ourselves to receive what He is pouring out.
Remember what it was like to be on fire for God. Boldness, but the fire has started to dwindle.
Never truly surrendered to Jesus. Before God pours on your head, he must irst change your heart.
Same Holy Spirit that anointed Jesus is here today!!!! Come step into the flow!!!!
