It was dusty, dirty, and in a beat-up frame. He sold it at a yard sale for two bucks – and good riddance. Lo and behold, it turned out to be a masterpiece and the purchaser resold it for several million dollars! I wonder how many of God’s blessings for us we miss because they are not “packaged” just as we expect or desire. Maybe, if we set some of our biases aside, we might find that God is speaking and revealing himself to us more than we ever imagined. We pray for blessings, but perhaps often, we miss them when God “wraps” them in ways contrary to our expectations or desires.
