Commitment Day – Greater 2026

Theme - GREATER

Ephesians 3:20–21 ESV

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

God is on the move. He is strengthening and equipping His Church across the whole world. People are being awoken to the Gospel of His Son Jesus and His people are coming to know Him in deeper ways, being transformed and renewed through His Spirit. We long to see His Church swell and grow and are filled with anticipation for what He will do.

God is moving across His people and He is moving here, in exciting ways, in and through Whitehill Church. We recognise that over the last 12 months, we have witnessed some incredibly exciting moves of God and are praying that God would do even GREATER things in each of these areas. Commitment Day 2026 – Greater, is about continuing to fuel and resource the areas that we are seeing God at work. We believe the promise of Ephesians 3:21 which says that God is “able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think”. God is not finished with us, in fact, we sense He may just be getting started.

And so, we are believing that He will continue to do even greater things upon that which we have already laboured toward.

This year, we have felt a burden from God to continue to be missionally minded, investing in leaders, churches and our young people.

Greater - Leaders

Our first project, is a continution of the relationship with SSEC in raising leaders in the Solomon Islands.

$20k will fund much needed maintenance work at the Onepusu Bible College and upgrade the water supply at the Su’u National Secondary School.

Greater - Churches

Our next project is an exciting opportunity to fund further evanglical efforts in the Philippines and Zimbabwe.

$20k will help fund a new building for a church plant in the village of Migpait in the Philippines.

A further $17k will continue the support of Pastor and Evangelist Jafeta Sibanda in Zimbabwe, including the purchase of transport and an additional water bore.

These projects overseas we see in the biblical principle found in 1 Cor. 3:6. Where Paul says “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” Our brothers and sisters are hard at work, we have the joy to water their labour with finacial support- and we’re trsuting in God for an increase.

Greater - Discipleship

In the same way, we too are hard at work here at Whitehill. We too are hoping to continue to labour and invest in a greater way, in the discipleship of our young people, trusting God to bring the increase.

For 2026, we are looking to raise another $15k for the CRI Internship program. Providing new opportunities in 2027.

We are also aiming to raise an additional $15k for Camp sponsorships.

This is the most we have ever looked to raise for camp sponships, and it is a direct reflection of the growing number of young people here at Whitehil who are interested in growing in their faith and Christian leadership.

God is on the move, and there is something unique and speical that he has for this emerging generation- we want to faithfully fan the flames being lit by Him.

And so, for Commitment Day 2026 - Greater, we are looking to raise a total of $87k to fund each of these projects.

We are believing for Greater things. For a greater knowledge of the riches of His glory. For greater strength and power through His Holy Spirit. That all of His people, in all places, would know the depths of the love of Christ.

That we might join with Paul in Eph 3:21, in saying- “to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
