Charis/grace has in it all the love of God, the unmerited, unmeasurable, unlimited self-giving mercy of God. Even in his greeting Paul expresses this core of the gospel. God’s grace reaches its ultimate dimension in the giving of His Son. The Son, in turn, “gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us.”
