VBS Day 5

Reflecting the Light

Welcome back!

Give preteens turns using the mirror to read the message on each “Reflecting the light” card

Distribute paper and pencils. Challenge each kid to think of a word that describes himself and write it backward.

Once everyone is finished, let the preteens read each other’s word

Debrief:

Great words to describe yourselves

Some of the words you decoded describe Jesus

Helper = HS

Describe the HS

Today: After Jesus ascended

Bible Story Exploration

Briefly review poster for previous days

Briefly go over the poster for today.

Read Acts 2 (the sections I have highlighted)

Debrief:

Peter: Repent and be baptized

Repent: “to turn away from sin and toward Jesus”

Example: Walking towards a cliff

Baptism doesn’t save
