When we are ask God for something, we need to have faith that he will do what we are asking.
When we are ask God for something, we need to have faith that he will do what we are asking.
Point 1: When we ask God for something, we must engage in worship. Look at verse 12, it says “a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored him”. He positioned himself in a posture of submission and worshiped Jesus. We were made to worship. We were created to worship. To worship is to recognize, honor, and express the worthiness of God that He is due as our Creator. Psalms 99:5 says Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool, he is holy. There is no one like or God. Just with words, he created life. He is our protector, our provider, our redeemer, and our savior. Somebody ought to testify they can look back over their life and remember what God has done for them. When your money ran out but rent was still due, somehow it got paid, food was still on the table, clothes still on your back, the lights still on in the house, education still paid for. I need 2 or 3 people who know we serve a great God and he is worthy of our worship to give God some praise. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him and praise his name! For the Lord is good and his love endures forever! We must worship him.

Point 2: But not only must we engage in worship, when we ask God for something, we need to have the faith he can do what we are asking. I’m still in your bible. The text says “Lord if you are willing, you can make me clean”. The man had the faith to believe God could what he was asking. Well what is faith? That’s a good question, I’m glad you asked. Faith is trusting in God based on a true understanding of who he is. It’s not just believing God is willing to do what you ask, it’s believing he CAN do it. Now unto him, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think according to the power that works in us. Faith is trusting in God. When you trust in God you believe that he has the power to help you, to provide for you, to heal you, to take care of you. Get a bad doctor’s report, trust in God. Theres still days left in the month and your bank account is negative, trust in God. Your kids keep working your last nerve, trust in God. That person you thought was the one breaks you heart again, trust in God. The bible says trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths. We need tp trust him.

Point 3: But not only do we need to trust him and have faith, we need to do God can do what we ask. This is my favorite part of the text. Look at verse 13 :I am willing be cleansed;
