Psalm 131 Trusting God's Timing

Introduction

Good morning Liberti. My name is Josh Marsh. If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, I’m the Director of Worship and Liturgy for the Liberti Communion of Churches.

And if you’re new with us today—whether you’re here in the room or joining us virtually—I just want to take a moment to say welcome. You could be anywhere this morning, and you’ve decided to be with us. My prayer for you, wherever you are in your faith journey, is that you would take one step toward the God who loves you.

Pastor Matt told me you've been road tripping through the book of Acts this summer, and so it only made sense to me that I should totally derail all that by preaching from Psalm 131 today.

The Psalms have been such a blessing to me this summer. They’ve reminded me what praying honestly to God really looks like.

To bring our real emotions to Him. To hold nothing back. To approach Him boldly with our petitions, our laments, our worship and everything in between.
