The Primary Relationship
The first institution created by God - marriage.
Man was made for relationship, not alone (

Jesus referred to the Creator’s design as the basis for marriage. (Mark 10:7)
Male and female created in God’s image. (

Leave and Cleave. This relationship becomes the primary human relationship.
Christian marriage is to model Christ’s relationship with the church to the world.
Love and Respect.
The Parent’s Responsibility
Provoke not to anger. Through:
Inconsistent discipline (empty threats, abusive language)
Unrealistic demands
Selfish ambition that you place upon them.
Over-protection
Favoritism
Raise them by the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
The end goal is not that they simply do your wishes, but that they follow the Lord.
Discipline - correction and training.
Instruction - teaching in Godly attitudes and behavior. Show them Christ!
