Romans 3:21-26: Behold, The Righteousness Of God!
Scripture Reading
21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
The Justification of God
for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed [beginning and ending in faith].
21 ...the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed… through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not!... 22 [For] the Scripture [consigned] all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ [I’m giving you the generic genitive] might be given to those who believe.
For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God… is revealed… by faith of Jesus Christ, to all who believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
26 πάντες γὰρ υἱοὶ θεοῦ ἐστε διὰ τῆς πίστεως ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.
without faith it is impossible to please [God].
let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be [both] just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
