God’s Amazing Grace
God’s Amazing Grace
Sin is very serious to God.
How does sin make God feel?
What do we deserve when we sin?
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God can’t accept us because of our sin.
If we deserve death because of our sin, how can God forgive us?
We need grace.
Grace is undeserved kindness, or an underserved gift.
God showed Noah undeserved kindness by saving him and his family.
How do we receive God’s grace? By repenting and believing in Him. Explain repentance and faith.
Noah believed the Lord. Because he believed the Lord, he obeyed Him. He did what God told him to. He walked with God.
How did Noah obey the Lord?
He built the ark and he was a preacher of righteousness.
The ark was about 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. It was about as long as 1.5 football fields. It was so big, it would hold as much as 522 railroad cars could. One railroad car can hold about 240 sheep. So that means that the ark could hold 125,280 sheep. The ark would need to hold much less animals than that. A lot of the space would be for food, water, and Noah’s family.
Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
