Who Report Will you Believe?
Who Report Will you Believe?
Isaiah 53:1 NKJV
"Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?"
Notice the connection.
The report precedes the revelation of God's arm.
Isaiah isn't merely asking who heard the report.
He is asking:
Who believed it?
There are always two reports.
The report of symptoms.
The report of doctors.
The report of finances.
The report of fear.
The report of the devil.
Then there is...
The report of the Lord.
Every miracle begins when God's report becomes greater than every other report.
Healing is Rooted in God’s nature
Healing is Rooted in God’s nature
Is it God’s Will to Heal- Yes because it is His nature to Heal
Jesus Revealed God is a healing God
Jehovah Rapha
Jehovah Rapha
and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words To Heal
“To heal” may be described as “restoring to normal,” an act which God typically performs. Thus, appeals to God for healing are common: “… O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed” (
The Hebrew name is Jehovah Rapha (יהוה רָפָא).
Rapha means:
to heal
to restore
to cure
to make whole
to mend completely
Healing is not merely something God does. Healing is part of who He is.
Throughout Scripture God's names reveal His unchanging character.
Jehovah Jireh – Provider
Jehovah Nissi – Banner
Jehovah Shalom – Peace
Jehovah Rapha – Healer
If God changes, His names lose their meaning.
But:
“For I am the Lord, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God never stopped being Jehovah Rapha.
Hraling is Rooted in God’s Comapssion
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Healing did not begin in Matthew.
Healing did not begin at Calvary.
Healing did not begin in Acts.
Healing is older than the Law because it comes from God's character.
If God called Himself Jehovah Rapha before Israel even entered Canaan...
then healing wasn't merely a covenant benefit.
It was a revelation of His heart.
If someone says,
"Maybe God stopped healing."
Then they are really saying,
"God stopped being Jehovah Rapha."
But He cannot.
Psalm 107:20
"He sent His word and healed them."
Point:
God's report comes through His Word.
The devil sends symptoms.
God sends His Word.
The doctor may send a diagnosis.
God sends His Word.
The enemy sends fear.
God sends His Word.
Which report will you magnify?
Exodus 23:25–26 NKJV
Exodus 23:25–26 NKJV
"So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you... the number of your days I will fulfill."
God doesn't merely promise blessing—He promises to remove sickness.
O Lord my God, I cried out to You,
And You healed me.
David's testimony becomes our encouragement.
For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
‘Because they called you an outcast saying:
“This is Zion;
No one seeks her.” ’
Bad Reports
Bad Reports
"There is nothing wrong with receiving a diagnosis.
Faith never denies facts.
Faith simply refuses to allow facts to become the final authority."
That keeps you from sounding anti-medical while still emphasizing faith.
A thermometer doesn't create the temperature.
It simply reports it.
Likewise...
A doctor reports what he sees.
God declares what He can do.
Many People Have received back reports
Your Doctor
Your Bills
You Vehicles
Perhaps you heard a Doctor Say, “This is what you have and this will be something that you have to live with the rest of your life?”
Doctors can tell you what is wrong with you- But they aren’t allowed to prophesy your future
Smith Wigglesworth
One day someone handed Smith Wigglesworth a newspaper.
He pushed it away and said,
"I don't read the paper first. I read God's Word first. I want God's report before man's report."
He wasn't denying reality.
He was choosing which report would shape his faith.
Jesus Heals all diseases
Jesus Heals all diseases
When Jesus Came He came to Reveal God
When People ask what is God like and What is the Will of God is was made manifest in Jesus Christ
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
The Bible says, “He is the Image of the Invisible God.”
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
God knows the devil’s workings in people lives- Jesus Came to undo it
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Jesus Never Refused Anyone
Jesus Never Refused Anyone
There is not one example where someone came to Jesus in faith seeking healing and was turned away.
Instead we repeatedly read:
Matthew 4:23
Matthew 4:23
Jesus healed every disease and every sickness.
Matthew 8:16
Matthew 8:16
"He healed all who were sick."
Matthew 12:15
Matthew 12:15
"He healed them all."
Matthew 14:14
Matthew 14:14
"He healed their sick."
Matthew 15:30
Matthew 15:30
"He healed them."
Luke 6:19
Luke 6:19
"The whole multitude sought to touch Him... and He healed them all."
The repeated phrase throughout the Gospels is:
"He healed them all."
Did Jesus ever tell someone...
"I'm trying to teach you through sickness?"
No.
Did He ever say...
"This disease is from My Father."
No.
Did He ever say...
"Come back in six months."
No.
The consistent testimony of the Gospels is...
"He healed them all."
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.”
Healing wasn't merely compassion.
Healing was fulfillment of redemption.
Jesus Restores Sound Mind
Jesus Restores Sound Mind
The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart.
Part of the Curse of Sin is madness and confusion of Heart
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Jesus Heals the Troubled mind
Jesus Heals the Troubled mind
Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”
For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” Then He asked him, “What is your name?”
And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”
Why does Jesus make a random Trip to Gadarenes?
Why Does Jesus ask the name of the Demon this one time?
He never does it again
It is a Revelation that Jesus’ dominion and Power aren’t limited to a certain region
He goes to enemy territory Just to show He Power is always the greatest
He asks the name Just to show us that even a legion of demon stand no chance against Him
A Legion was the large military unit in the Rome Empire, and Jesus has power over the Legion of Demons
Demons Recognize authority
The bow before Jesus
In Acts 19 they Stay away from Paul
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Authority is delegated.
Power belongs to God.
Authority has been given to believers.
A police officer does not stop an eighteen-wheeler because he is stronger.
He stops it because of authority.
Likewise...
We do not command sickness because we are powerful.
We command it because Jesus has all authority.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Jesus crosses the Sea of Galilee.
Faces a storm.
Arrives.
Casts out demons.
Leaves.
Why?
One soul.
Imagine that.
Jesus crossed a storm...
for one broken man.
That tells us something.
No one is too far gone.
No one is too bound.
No one is forgotten.
Jesus Heals what is Chronic and Life Long
Jesus Heals what is Chronic and Life Long
And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
The woman had suffered...
Twelve years.
Mark intentionally records the length.
Why?
Because chronic does not intimidate Jesus.
Some people think...
"I've had this too long."
Not with Jesus.
He isn't limited by time.
Whether twelve hours...
twelve years...
or forty years...
He is still Jehovah Rapha.
Jesus Heals what is Terminal
Jesus Heals what is Terminal
While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.” And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James. They came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and Jesus saw a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. And when he had entered, he said to them, “Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him and went in where the child was. Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement. And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.
Notice something.
Jairus had faith...
until another report arrived.
Verse 35.
"Your daughter is dead."
Another report entered.
Immediately Jesus interrupted it.
"Do not fear...
only believe."
Jesus answered the report before Jairus could.
Because faith and fear cannot lead at the same time.
John G. Lake.
During the South African plague outbreak.
Doctors were terrified.
Lake ministered to plague victims.
One doctor reportedly remarked that the disease should have infected him.
Lake replied that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus was greater.
His confidence wasn't in his own body.
It was in Christ's victory.
Whether every detail of the often-retold account can be historically verified, what is well established is that Lake ministered fearlessly among the sick because he believed Jesus was still the Healer.
Then say:
The Church doesn't carry fear.
We carry Christ.

"Tonight you've heard many reports.
Some of you have heard...
Cancer.
Diabetes.
Anxiety.
Depression.
Arthritis.
Autoimmune disease.
Terminal.
Impossible.
But tonight heaven asks one question.
Whose report will you believe?
Will you believe the report of your body?
Or the report of the Lord?
Will you believe what symptoms have preached?
Or what Calvary declared?
Because the Cross was God's final declaration over sickness.
Jesus is still Jehovah Rapha.
Jesus still heals.
Jesus still restores.
Jesus still delivers.
Jesus still sets captives free.
Tonight we're not coming to a denomination.
We're not coming to a preacher.
We're coming to the same Jesus who walked the roads of Galilee.
The same Jesus who healed them all.
The same Jesus who stood outside Jairus' house.
The same Jesus who called Lazarus from the grave.
The same Jesus who restored the demoniac.
The same Jesus who opened blind eyes.
The same Jesus who made the lame walk.
And Hebrews says...
'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.'
If He healed then...
He heals now.
If He delivered then...
He delivers now.
If He restored then...
He restores now.
So tonight...
before anyone lays hands on you...
before anyone prays...
make your decision.
'I choose to believe God's report.'
Because miracles begin where faith agrees with God's Word."
f you need healing in your body, freedom in your mind, deliverance from oppression, or a miracle that doctors say is impossible, come now. We are going to obey Mark 16. We will lay hands on the sick, and we will believe Jesus to confirm His Word with signs following.
