The Task of Elders.

Why are qualified men needed?

There are many insubordinate.

What are the elders to do?

Stop their mouths.

Identify the cultural sin. V 12-13.

Sharply rebuke them.

Recognize the rebellious are wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Pastors are to boldly oppose the false teachers and rebellious.

They must recognize the wolves.

They must defend the sheep.

They must recognize the cultural sins.

They must boldly address these sins.

Elders are to be Shepherds.

1. We need brave pastors who guard the sheep from the wolves.

2. Church, do not be rebellious.

Faithful elders who love their sheep, and sheep who love their shepherds.
