The Power of the Word
The Power of the Word
It is the word of God that has had an impact on us. It is swift moving. It is impactful.
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
The Speed of the Word
The Speed of the Word
It is imperative that when we think of the word of God that it does not sit idle as the Lord would not have for us to remain idle. Instead, in order for a person to receive salvation, the Holy Spirit must work on their heart first in order for them to receive the word.
Honor the Word
Honor the Word
What exactly does it mean to honor the word?
We ought to turn to it often. We ought to hold it in the highest regard.
Safety from Evil
Safety from Evil
The Word of God will keep us from the evil one but there are matters that we will never see that the Lord has kept us from.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
We can be sure that we will be kept safe because of the the faithfulness of the Lord.
What instills confidence to other believers?
What instills confidence to other believers?
Obedience
You and I are in need of guidance and direction. The prayer here is that the Lord would direct the hearts of fellow believers toward two things: the love of God and steadfastness of Christ. That is where our focus ought to be above all else and then fuels everything that we do.
