faith and follow
God morning! Blessed be & thank you Lord for this day, thank you for sharing your time with us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus/Yahushua’s holy name...We thank you that we are filled with You in Love and Grace, as we learn more and grow in Your Word, and in You. Take from us anything that may hinder our growth, and anything that is not of You, we thank you for less of us more of You.
As we see one another as brothers, and sisters, as Your children, in One Body, and One Church...Your Church, as we walk under your protection from anything not of You, or Your will, as we are filled with your Word, and still in your peace, at your feet, we are Yours’, Blessed & grateful. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, the Son & Holy Spirit. Your will be done forever!
(Thank you, for all things in Yahushua's Holy Name...we say Ephphatha, “be opened”, to hearing, seeing, and speaking the Word, guided by the Holy Spirit..so be it. )
We are constantly reminded by Christ, who’s we are, what we are, how we should act, and who we can become in Him. We see that He is the finisher, the Chosen One, the Messiah. The Law and Prophets were until John: now, here I AM. The Way, Truth and Life, I AM in every message, In every message is Love, listen to my Word, pray for wisdom, pray for knowledge, get understanding, today, do the will of our Father, and join me in His/Our Kingdom. (if you’ve SEEN me, you’ve SEEN the Father)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
This man didn't fear YHWH, nor man, he is unjust, he certainly didn’t care for this widow one bit. But, because she troubled him and wore him down, took his peace, he finally moved. Our Father loves us, He has and will avenge us. He has moved already by sending His only Son for our Salvation(loved us first). Though He long suffers for all, when He comes it will be quick and final, but, who will He find doing His will not their own?
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
the early and later rain are the Holy Spirit which comes for the Harvest, which is ripe as Christ said 2 days ago...1 day as a thousand years with the LORD GOD...the early rain was the Beginning of the Harvest with the Disciples, as they went out to preach to the world they were given the Holy Spirit at Pentecost… so, before Christ
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, That I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions:
After His teachings His Disciples are calling the Church
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
quick and final.. this is a warning...I come quickly....shall I find Faith on earth?!
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
This is daily people. There are those who think there headed to Heaven, who are gonna be a bit surprised. These are Christs words, not mine....this is a clear example of the elder brother and the prodigal son. One following the law so He can exalt himself and has NO relationship with the Father. The other goes about sinning and doing as he pleases but, then realizes his mistakes, and his Fathers love for him, so as he comes home asking humbly for forgiveness, the Father runs to meet him and is overjoyed his son has returned, and they rejoice together. The Father ever throws a party for him, and of course the elder brother is envious. We see these people everyday, even our so-called friends have this attitude. They think they’re sinless, and its sad. Sins by committing, and sins by omitting. LOVE THY GOD & NEIGHBOR!
These next verses are so fitting in the way Christ teaches, as it reconfirms what he was just teaching, by using HIMSELF as an example!
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
...this guy thinks he is in the money with Heaven, pridefulness is coming, but first Christ hits him with this...why callest me good? NONE IS GOOD, save One YHWH! A clear statement to all listening...get off your high horse, you’re all sinners. He then reminds him of some of the commandments but not, Love the Lord thy GOD, and love thy neighbor because He is about to explain it harshly.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
Ok rich people. Where did you get all that you have? Who gave it to you? What are you meant to do with the Blessings YHWH has given you? Do you even credit Him for His blessings in your life? The parable of the talents ring a bell? Who have you helped in your life, any of YHWH’s children? The homeless, fatherless, widows, the imprisoned?
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Remember....Every good gift comes from the Father, every one.
James 1:17 “17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
He gives us gifts for our learning, for our growth, and to help one another. The elder brother had kept them all and learned nothing, the younger brother broke/spent them all and learned the Love of YHWH/Father. He was able to come home and still have more than he ever had or ever need.
Christ confirms this with a simple lesson, rich people hardly make it into Heaven. Those who trust in their riches and their status, wont make it. This man was saying, i already do these things, I’m awesome, I don’t sin and I'm rich too...I’m in the pink. This is a perfect example of Billy Graham’s preaching...”who will you serve?” The god of this world, or as Joshua, same name as Christ Yahushua said:
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. YHWH
and as Christ said Himself:
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
...do not kill the messenger, these are Christs words for our sake, for our growth, and He follows it up with the last verse saying:
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
YHWH has the ability to help you see and hear at any moment. Earlier we heard of the former and later rain, He said: “I will pour out my Spirit”… are you listening, can you see whats happening in the world? He is waiting for you to run to Him.
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
When we chose Him over the world, we are in His complete care, His protection, and His provisions, not just now, but eternally! Are we of the world as the unjust ruler earlier or are we in Christ, learning and growing into His image. Being called and being conformed to His image?
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
This is Him explaining what must happen to Him by rejecting the world and its leaders, trusting in the Father, He will walk this walk in the Word/Truth, no matter what others say, what the world says or does will stop Him from His Love for the Father and us. He is the Light of the world, as in the beginning He brought light into the darkness. He is Salvation!
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
His name is Yahushua or Yah saves!
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
This is a reflection/architype of Christ where Joshua enters into the promised land. He defeats the city Jericho and destroys the impenetrable walls by YHWH’s instructions, and Rehabs help. Rahab, a prostitute in Jericho, helps Joshua and his men. She turns to YHWH, from her former life, she declares Faith in YHWH, He saves her whole family, and then she dwells with the Israelites and YHWH. Rahab was waiting on YHWH, as this beggar was
After defeating Jericho...then Joshua curses it.
26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
This actually happens when a man named Hiel of Bethel decides to rebuild it or try to and he loses his firstborn son Abiram and his youngest son Segub. The Word of YHWH...
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Who is able to lift the curse? Who is able to lead into the Promised Land? Who is the Promised Messiah?
This man Bartimaeus/son of Timaeus that was begging, his name has a few meanings, son of honor, son of the highly prized, son of the unclean. Wow! This is YHWH at work. Christ listens to this son of the unclean as he begged Him for Mercy, Forgiveness, because He is highly prized as Faith leads him to Christ, so, by his Faith he then is healed. Christ knows that the Father led Bartimaeus to Him, because the “sheep hear His voice.” After he is healed he Honors YHWH/Christ by following Him and Glorifying Him, which brought others to Glorify YHWH!
This is the whole message, whom do you choose? Whom will you serve?
We cannot have both flesh and Spirit, YHWH and mammon, we must choose. We are all sinners, everyone of us, even Christ said: “why callest thou me good, none is good but the Father.”
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We need Christ, the only Way to the Father! Being unjust and worldly wont get you there, being rich wont get you there, being prideful and self-righteous wont get you there.
The ONLY Way, Truth, and Life is Yahushua ha Mashiach, Yahushua the Messiah, The Chosen One, from the Beginning/Bereshit, to the end, The Alpha and Omega, He is the only True reflection and nature of the Father, as He says: “i and the Father are one.” Bless and Praise Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
so be it!
