Be Strong

V 10

We are now a child of God. We no longer have Satan as our Father

so satan has made us a special enemy. He wants to destroy us. destroy our reputation

He wants to discourage us, cause us to feel useless to God.

He wants us to think we have lost our salvation because of our sin

He wants us to forget the promises that God made to us

we need to remember that we now have the power of God available to us.

we have the Holy Spirit in us and He is there to guide us teach us protect us from the evil one

we have God’s grace available to us if we humble ourselves

We are now a child of God, we have a new citizenship.

we have the power of God in us

but we need to tap into that power so we can stand strong

Paul tells us to be able to stand strong we have to have on the armor of God

Belt of Truth

Breast Plate of Righteousness

Shoes of peace

Shield of Faith

Helmet of Salvation

Sword of the Spirit

we need these Items on to be able to resist the temptation

we need these Items to stop the schemes of Satan

but what we are looking at today is beyond this armor

we have relegated prayer to mornings, meals, and church on Sunday Morning

Former Satanist Reveals How Prayers Protect Christians From Demonic Attacks

In a video clip shared by Instagram user @Jesusrealhope, an ex-Satanist was interviewed by Faith Testimonies. The interviewer asked her about her experience during her time as a devil worshipper, and she took the opportunity to reveal how the demons are powerless against one of the weapons of the Christians.

She first confessed her position in the cult she was in. According to her, she was a Chandler. She served as a mediator, conversing with the demons and then relaying the messages to the rest of the cult.

Their initial goal was simply to cause chaos, but that changed when she met Satan himself. Through her role, she actually got to talk to Satan.

“It changed the trajectory of the cult,” she said. “And we started attacking just Christians, going after clergy, specifically.”

Prayer Protects

The group had names, addresses, and workplaces of those they should go against.

“And that’s what we did. We just harassed Christians.”

But as they proceeded with their demonic assignments, they realized that there were certain Christians who were not affected by their attacks.

She recalled, “I went to travel in the spirit, astral projection, to influence … lust or something on a Christian. And in the spirit, I would see like a dome, like a blue dome, over groups of Christians that were praying. Through those experiences, I connected that we could not attack Christians as they were actively praying protection from God. Like there was a no go-zone, just absolutely, no power.”

this is why Paul tells us to always pray. to make a habit to be in communion with the Father

James tells us to draw close to God and Satan will flee. we draw close through prayer.

we think of prayer as asking for stuff. we have our list which is part of prayer

V 18 with all prayer

this would include

formal prayers

instant prayers

just talking with God about our day

telling Him our fears and anxieties

Telling the Father of our mountain top experiences and victories

our help me now blurt outs

eyes closed, walking, working prayers

Help me to speak or help me to keep my mouth shut prayers

all kinds of different prayers

Satan cant fight against the power of prayer

and yet we have our prayers in the morning and so during the day we cant pray because its not the right time

but Paul command us to not stop

In the Spirit

what is the Holy Spirit prompting us to pray for?

the other day facebook someone asked for prayers for someone I never knew

right then I stopped and prayed for him

sometimes the Spirit will bring someone to mind that He wants prayed for

our Job is to pray

remember last week the Holy Spirit gives us a portion of scripture to remember to help us stop sinning

and if we don’t use the sword to fight the temptation then we grieve the Spirit

it is the same here with praying

if the Holy Spirit gives us names of someone to pray for and we don’t, we are similarly grieving Him

V 18 being on alert

be looking for opportunities to pray for someone

For all the saints

Sampath in India

hungry, fight for water, beat up, the government and most of the citizens want them to die

believers in North Korea where its a death sentence

Africa where militants come and kill all the Christians in the village

when we start praying for the Christian martyr around the world our petty problems seem to be not so bad

Paul in prison wants prayer

Paul the great apostle needs prayer

he is not asking to get out of prison which is probably what I would ask for

But Paul in other places has told us that he was a prisoner of Jesus

and when the prison sentence that Jesus has him under is lifted he will go free

this is totally in Pauls mind is in the sovereignty of God

but what he asks prayer for is to open his mouth and spread the gospel

V 20

Paul needed prayer

I need your prayers

We all need to have constant communion with the Father

do we want to live a life of power and Godliness?
