Good morning, if you have your W God's word with you turn me to 1st Samuel chapter 27 1st, Samuel, chapter 27. And as we make our way we're actually going to be going into 2nd Samuel today. And so we're going from first name of 27, to 2nd Samuel chapter 14. A total of six I want some of your thinking this is the worst day faster. We're sitting in these hard chairs and a room. We were all talk together to be preaching through 6 chapters and I promise you, we will not be reading all six of the chapters. So it's going to be okay.

But today, we're going to see in these chapters. Is faithful Trust. Lack of people, trust and faith will trust that is displayed by song. And so before we jump into this, let us pray one more time, your loving father, you can come see me this morning for your face when I said we just song. Great is your faithfulness?

Got there to come to the preaching of your word and I'll just pray that you will clear our minds of all distractions around us and just to help us to focus on your word and the preaching of the word God and that it will just take root in our lives. Lord, and it would change us today.

Do this morning. We just pray that you will work in the midst of all of us here today board. And mold and shape has. I know you called us to be. You put all this in Jesus, holy and precious name.

Faithful Trust. faithful trust the title of my message this morning and we will see through the final chapters of 1st Samuel and going into chapter 1 Faithful truck. But what I want to begin with this morning is just making sure that we understand what I mean. When I say faithful trust, you know, for every one of you. When you came in this morning, you want to your chair and you sat down, didn't you? Why did you sit down in your chair with so much ease and was so much trust because you knew that it was going to hold you up. It's an age-old illustration that so many preachers of the countless in countless times, right? Why did you sit down? You had faith in the chair. I would hold you. What what's that? You walk in? And it's here looks a little. I just got a little of the legs. Looks a little bent, a little bit, right? Are you going to sit down in the chair or probably going to be at least question at a little bit? You might still sit down and go, all right, it's okay, right? But the circumstances has caused you to lose faith and lose trust in the chair. Going to stay in here and do for us but we need to think about what faith will trust is the very thing. When you see a healthy chair, do you walk in? You sit down in it, complete complete trust, no questions Oz. The chairs have been faithful to you in the past and you are To them to sit down in them, right? We just saying the song. Great Is Thy Faithfulness, right? The Lord has been faithful to us. He will never be unfaithful to us. He will always be there for us and we can sometimes let our circumstances. Affect our faith and trust that we have in the Lord. To give you an example to give you a story. Remember Peter and Jesus Jesus and his disciples by the boat across the sea. Jesus goes into the mountain, to pray, he comes down and then he starts walking to the disciples who are a long way off house used to get there. You just walked on the water. He gets to the boat and the disciples are there and then they're afraid to begin to panic because first of all the water it just doesn't make any sense. And what is Pierre du? Peter says Lord of June order to Jean it actually says take heart, it's okay. It's me and Peter responds. And says, if it is you command me to come to you now mind you there's a storm here. There's lots of winds, are some ways that are happening. Peter gets out of the boat. He begins walking toward Jesus. I think he's distracted by the circumstances. He sees the waves. The wins and he takes his eyes off of Jesus. You lose his face. He loses a little bit of trust. What is Peter begin to do? Because that's what Jesus is. There reaches out and grabs and takes me back to the boat, right? This story here.

It's so much of what happens in our own lives as well. But how we let the circumstances, how we let the situations around us affect our faith and our trust in the Lord. We have faithful Trust. Angelique, take her eyes off of Jesus. You may begin to think I need to help myself more. I've got to take control of the situation. I need to seek the counsel of Outsiders. It may not teach biblical truths, I have tried to rectify these circumstances and situations On My Own Strength trusting in myself. Maybe even two things in this world, right?

Because therapist, especially secular therapist. You went there, looking for, I'm looking for a way to pin the problem on somebody. And who'll a panda problem on parents. If you would have raised me this way, I wouldn't be so much. I wouldn't have to receive so much, I would never receive so much of this damn thing here.

Wow, right. I don't want to say it like this but two degrees therapists and counselors have to come to New mediums.

Yeah. My there's a time and there's a place but therapists counselors but unless they are going by the word of God, we should be very very careful but not only do therapist and counselor to come out on where we receive word from them or instructions or wisdom or guidance cooking friends. I got to believe those things going with this.

Faithful Trust. Hold to the word of gone is gone alone, faithful, trust seeks the counsel of God, in his word alone, and anything else that we get from outside. That we must be careful. It doesn't. Contradict the word of God. And we must never take them and let them and Elevate them above God, in his word. Happening all over the place.

Remind me of Colossians 2:8. See to it. That no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty, distinct, according to human tradition, according to Elemental spirits of the world and not, according to Christ, don't be taken captive, a human philosophy and empty, deceit. Passed from Death To Life. We are all on a path to death. Oh, because of Jesus, because of our faith in him, we have all passed from Death to life because Jesus is our savior. So today, if you've never believed in Jesus, I heard you right now, right? Where you are to place your faith to place your hope to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your savior, because faithful Trust.

Receive eternal life.

We come to the conclusion. I want to come back to the story of Peter in Jesus. you talk about Peter's, lack of faith in hell, even though he let his circumstances, even though he letting his situation caused him to lose State and caused him to lose trust, I want you to know that Jesus was still there to catch him.

Church. You're going to be, then our lives. We're going to lack Faith. We're going to lack trust. We're going to let our circumstances coldest Google on our cell phones around others.
