God is a Good God!

Goodness of God - 1 - God is a Good God

We declare and confess that God is a good God but what are we trying to do?

Is this a confession or are we making it a possession!

Its all about the heart, not trying to convince God that He is good, but confince our heart that He is good.

Confession is not about moving God, its all about our hearts!

Offering: Open ye Gates - The gates are open! It is the year of divine acceraltion for it is due season!

In the Bible, "due season" (or "due time") refers to God's appointed, perfect timing for His promises, blessings, and actions to unfold, emphasizing patience, trust, and perseverance in doing good

Galatians 6:9 ("in due season we shall reap") And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6:9, NKJV)

and Leviticus 26:4 (rain "in due season"). ‘If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,

4then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. (Leviticus 26:3–4, NKJV)

It signifies that God has a specific, appropriate time for everything, different from human timelines, and requires faith that His plan will come to fruition.

Lift up your heads, O you gates!

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!

And the King of glory shall come in. (Psalm 24:7, NKJV)

Open to me the gates of righteousness;

I will go through them,

And I will praise the Lord.

20This is the gate of the Lord,

Through which the righteous shall enter.

21I will praise You,

For You have answered me,

And have become my salvation.

22The stone which the builders rejected

Has become the chief cornerstone.

23This was the Lord’s doing;

It is marvelous in our eyes.

24This is the day the Lord has made;

Dr. Jerry Savelle stated that the glory of God was His, Manifested Power, Manifested Prescence and His Godness in our lives. Let’s take a look into some aspects of Gods goodness.

1. GOD IS A GOOD GOD

What does it mean to be Good

In the Bible, "good" defines God's holy, righteous character, the source of all goodness, and reflects moral excellence, virtue, and alignment with His will, encompassing acts of kindness, justice, and creation that are inherently beneficial and pleasing to Him, contrasting with evil as something God judges and ultimately defeats. It's both God's nature (only He is truly good) and a quality believers strive for, reflecting God's character through actions like loving God and doing justice

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,

The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,

4What is man that You are mindful of him,

And the son of man that You visit him?

5For You have made him a little lower than the angels,

And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

6You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;

You have put all things under his feet, (Psalm 8:3–6, NKJV

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew,  (Romans 8:28–29, NKJV)

What does it look like ink the Word

1. Good Soil or good natured

1.1 Good soil, fertile soil, a fruitful tree,

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. (Matthew 7:18, NKJV

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.  (Luke 8:15, NKJV)

2. Useful

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.  (James 1:17, NKJV)

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. (James 3:17, NKJV)

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  (Matthew 7:11–12, NKJV)

3. Pleasant

Ephesians 4:20–31 “But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. chapter number four. And we're going to begin there 31:20 Ephesians 4. And uh last Wednesday we started talking about confession and the importance of having the right confession and the place that confession holds in our life. Now many of you over the years have been taught about confession. Many of you um have been taught about faith and you know there's more teaching now on faith and confession probably than in my lifetime that's ever been. And yet if you look at the average believer, talk to the average believer, this is one of the areas that where people are lacking in is their confession. And and I and I don't think it's really necessarily a lack of faith. I think that people are missing it in the confession part. And I think the reason why people are missing it is because they don't really understand what a real confession of faith even looks like. I think sometimes people when it comes to confessing the word where we confess the word uh with the attitude or with the idea that we're going to move God. And when you have your confession and you're using your confession and you're trying to move God, it shuts everything down. Your confession is not in the causitive form. Right?

Your confession, your confession of faith and the purpose of your confession is for you to confess and you to agree with God. Come on. The word the word and and we'll go there later, but when you're talking about a confession of faith, we're not talking about just mimicking promises and then hope they show up. Come on. See, I'm just telling you, this is where most people are.

Sometimes I talk to people and and and and I'll I'll recently I talked to somebody and I said, you know, they were crying and they were all and uh things weren't working the way they should and they said this is their their confession. I didn't confess enough.I didn't It's like God sitting up on the throne and he's waiting for you to confess 2,462 times and then we're going to check the box. the attitude and and they mean well.33:2733 minutes, 27 secondsBut I'm convinced that most people can't define what a real confession of faith looks like.33:3333 minutes, 33 secondsAnd when you start really understanding what confession is, that it's not a mechanical, but it's in the cooperative.
