God sends weak people into impossible places with one sure promise: "I will certainly be with you."
Context cue: The God who heard, remembered, saw, and knew His people's pain now answers Moses' fear with His presence.
I. Small Servant (v. 11a — "Who am I?")
· Moses hears "go" and feels small.
· "Who am I?" is honest fear, not a bad attitude.
· He sees Pharaoh, then he sees himself.
· Ever felt outmatched by work, bills, or family pressure?
Bridge: Your weakness is not the end of God's work—it's the beginning.
II. Massive Mission (v. 11b — "go to Pharaoh…bring the Israelites out")
· "Go to Pharaoh" means face the power you can't beat.
· "Bring them out" means rescue people you can't free.
· Moses can't break Egypt's chains—and he knows it.
· But God has already come down to do what Moses can't.
Bridge: The mission is too much for us, but never too much for Him.
III. Promised Presence (v. 12 — "I will certainly be with you…this will be the sign")
· God doesn't hand Moses a plan—He hands him Himself.
· The promise comes before the proof; the sign comes after rescue.
· In Jesus, God came near to rescue sinners like us from what we could never escape.
· When you feel too small, His presence is the only qualification you need.
Bridge: Because He is with us, we can take the next faithful step—and trust the proof on the other side.
