Open your Bible, too… Paul reminds the church of the

1 Corinthians 10… beginning at v. 16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?

The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?

Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.

Receiving Communion is not mere symbolism… it’s a spiritual participation

It’s an active connection to the redemptive work already accomplished through the Cross of Christ.

It’s a reminder of the Great Hope we have in JESUS because of the Cross.

Skipping down to v. 21…

Because….There A lot of people in the Church of Corinthians Then we're receiving communion… and treating it as another ritual. Paul warned them….

English Standard Version Chapter 10

21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

Paul warn’s people not to participate in Communion if their faith is NOT GENUINE.

You can’t live one way in public and another way before the Lord.

There is no such thing as being 1/2 way in with the Lord… The call is to be ALL IN.

Well.... It’s time to worship the Lord through our... Generosity

Before we talk about giving,  if you’re a guest, you are under NO obligation to give–You are our Guest -

Giving:

Nearly Every Sunday… people walk through these doors looking for HOPE.

Beleiver’s and seekers alike…

And nearly every Sunday people come up to us saying…

WOW - I REALLY NEEDED that today…

People stand at the end of service declaring - GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY…

Friends… this generation of People… are seeking to hear the Voice of God.

They don’t want watered down faith.. the want a real, authentic encounter with God.

This is what they receive when they come.

Today as we bring our tithes to the House of God… we are keeping the doors of HOPE OPEN to those that are seeking him.

Your friends, your neighbors, your loved one’s…. those wandering in off the street

A simple act of giving is powerful.

If your saved… you have been attending and never started your Generosity journey… today is your day to take another step of faith…

Trusting God to do something significant in the community through your giving.

Let me take a moment to say… Thank you to every giver… your tithes allows us to do what we do every week at the Grace Place.

And thank you to our over and above givers… who are sowing into MISSIONS.

Every month we are are working with others to send 100 missionaries that are GOING both locally and globally to share the Gospel with people in need.

Here is what you need to do to prepare:

1. Go to the CC app review the teaching on water baptism to make sure you understand what it’s all about.

We have teachings for both kids and Adults.

Tongues & Interpretation

1. To STRENGTHEN the Church (1 Cor14:5)

For prophecy is greater than SPEAKING in TONGUES, unless someone interprets what you are saying so that the whole church will be STRENGTHENED.

Believers, God has operated through this gift today to strengthen you today. Let your faith be strengthened and know that God is in control and using supernatural measures to speak to us.

2. Is a SIGN for unbelievers. (1Cor. 14: 21a, 22)

1 Corinthians 14:21–22 (ESV)

In the Law it is written, “By people of strange tongues and by the lips of foreigners will I speak to this people, and even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord.” Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a sign not for unbelievers but for believers.

22 -  So you see that speaking in tongues is a SIGN, not for believers, but for UNBELIEVERS.

The Bible explains to us God has chosen to use this gift to be a sign for you. A sign for what? It is a sign of his realness for those of you who have been doubting or questioning the existence of God. He wants you to know he is REAL and he wants to bring you spiritual life and health. If you're in here today and you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior... he wants you to know he has gone to great lengths to show you his love today. (Great opportunity for a salvation altar call if it fits).
