Prayer -

Praying that God would give us ears to hear, and open our hearts that we may hear what He may want to speak to us through this message.

We all have a foundation Mt 7:24-28

Matthew 7:24–29 ESV
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
What is a foundation?
1 Corinthians 3:10 ESV
According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it.
Can a large skyscraper be built on just a floor? (Short answer: No, it requires a foundation, and it also requires pillars which are built on the foundation.)
John 1:1–5 ESV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Based on everything we’ve talked about we can put together that Jesus is the material, the outline, and the model of how we are to build our house. And, so we are to be looking to His word to what God wants to do.
