You might hide your malice intentions for a while from men but you are never able to hide them from God who sees the inner dwellings of man.
“dig a pit and roll only to fall and be hit by the rolling stone”: I bring our attention back to Wiley Coyote and the Roadrunner cartoons.
How every time the coyote tries to crush or destroy the roadrunner his devious plans backfire back onto him.
This “poetic justice” does not come from man but from the hand of the Sovereign Lord.
“lying tongue hates and crushes”: Words being spread through malicious actions will crush those who they are being spread about.
Gossip and back biting is a sin.
They destroy the gossiper, the hearer, and the one who is being gossip about.
They can and will destroy the unity of the body of Christ and are never to be tolerated.
“flattering mouth works ruins”: these people spread a net to snare those who listen to them.
Conclusion/Application:
Hate is the mask of unresolved deceptions.
Does your inner match your outer?
Seven abominations!
