Sweet food activates the brain’s taste and reward systems, including dopamine-related circuits. That makes it feel pleasurable and helps the brain learn, “seek this again.” Glucose also supplies energy to the brain; after fasting, it can briefly support some memory tasks. Systematic review

But the popular “sugar rush” is overstated: controlled studies find no reliable mood boost, and may find more fatigue or less alertness afterward. Meta-analysis

Over time, frequent large amounts of added sugar—especially sweet drinks and highly processed foods—can reinforce cravings and is associated with metabolic problems and poorer cognitive health.

The issue is not “sweetness is sinful,” but whether we can receive it freely and gratefully, or whether it begins to rule us.

Ezekiel was a prophet who God used in a very unique, specific, and illustrative way. I’m all about props and demonstrations to help you get the point..Ezekiel was the OG of that method.

Clapping hands, stamping feet, and crying out over Israel’s coming judgment (Ezek 6:11–12)

Remaining composed and not mourning when his wife died—not weeping, keeping his turban on, and not eating mourners’ bread—as a sign of how Israel would respond to Jerusalem’s desolation (Ezek 24:15–24)

INTERPRET:

God’s word is for you, but wasn’t written to you.

Context and certain people were original audience. it can’t mean something to us completely seperate from what it didn’t meant to them.

You can hear God more clearly, with an imagination soaked by Scripture.

God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. 

Let any knowledge I gain help me love You and others more, and not puff me up. 

Help me see something new about You that I’ve never seen before. 

Correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand. 

Direct my steps according to Your Word. Amen.

All these things over time soak your mind in the Scripture..
