Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

We learn this in 7th grade science

Sin has consequences. If we were to pause and consider the vast consequence of our sin each time before we commit it, perhaps it would also give us pause enough to not commit it.

Why?

Because just like physics … everything we do causes some reaction. Even our hidden and secret sins cause damage ...… Especially when they’re brought to light.

That our marriages would be destroyed.

Our families would be torn apart.

We’d lose our jobs and everything we’ve worked for.

We’d lose our health.

We’d lose our reputation.

We’d lose our very freedom.

The fact that our burden is caused by our sin is actually somewhat good news. When we realize the hardships of life, we can either consider that God is not all good or that we have some culpability in it. If our burden is ultimately a natural reaction to our sin … there is hope that we can realign, readjust our aim, and live the way God intended us to live.

Jesus said AMEN AMEN … truly truly. He emphasized that the next thing he would say would carry large implications on the truth of the ministry he set forth.

When we belive … we accept.

Whe we accept … we live … not just then … but starting now?
