(Acts 2:1–13)
Secretariat. You about to see something you aint’ never seen before.

The Book of Acts is the account of the Church continuing the work started by the Son of God by the indwelling power of the Spirit of God all for the glory of God.

And it’s not like the Holy Spirit was a new concept to these people. It’s just that The Holy Spirit’s presence, and His work up to this point was selective, and for the purpose of fulfilling a specific task.
But God was about to do something He’d never done before - He was going to FILL people, HUNDREDS of them, with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit came in power like never before to empower a work like never before.

1-3
Pay attention to the fact that this wind comes into the room - because this is God’s own Holy Spirt. We see Him described in Genesis, hovering over the waters, right before creation.
We see Him in the book of Ezekiel, in the Valley of Dry Bones, where God makes dead men come back to life.
We see Him in the Wilderness guiding, protecting, and Abiding with His people.
And we see Him on Mt Carmel, coming down in fire to prove who the true God was
If I can distill those four things into one sentence, I believe what you will have is a Gospel message that YOU can take with you, anywhere you go.
God has made me something new, and brought my spirit back to life. He will always be with me, and there is no God like Him.

The Holy Spirit gave them the message. (4, 11)

Look at what they were saying, just as much as how it’s being spoken. “The Mighty Works of God.”
The thing is, we have access to that same life changing message today.

There is a message the God has given you; speak it.

The Holy Spirit set the stage (5)

There were people from all over the world there. THIS was the reason why Jesus had them go to Jerusalem, and STAY there.

God has given you a divine appointment.

The Holy Spirit made their words available (6-10)

Give God your voice, and trust Him to hold the microphone.

12-13

Don’t let criticism silence your witness. (12-13)
