Recap
We talked about believing the words of God and their path for our lives
The official’s son took Jesus for his word and walked hours and hours with faith and it was rewarded. His son was healed the second that Jesus spoke

1. Opening: The Call & Response Warm-Up (3 Minutes)

Speaker: "Good morning/afternoon, everyone! Today, we are talking about two very big things: Hearing and Believing." Interactive Activity (Seat-based):
Ask students to put a hand to their ear. Teach the cue word: "HEARS!"
Ask students to place both hands over their hearts. Teach the cue word: "BELIEVE!"
Practice 2–3 times together fast:
Speaker holds up ear: Students shout "HEAR!"
Speaker holds hand to heart: Students shout "BELIEVE!"
Today I want to read John 5:24–30
** These are Jesus’ words**
“Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.
“Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.
For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself.
And he has granted him the right to pass judgment, because he is the Son of Man.
Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of condemnation.
“I can do nothing on my own. I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.”

2. Deep Dive: "Crossing the Line" (5 Minutes)

John 5:24 ““Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.”

Training yourself; good words
Bend and Reach
The Cross or Jesus is our bridge to the otherside.
Yes train and study. All great things, but even our best efforts will fall short
unfortunatly falling short means death or separation from God.
Key Takeaway (ESL Accessible): "Crossing over isn't about working hard. It happens the moment you hear and believe [trust and follow] Jesus."

3. Passage Breakdown: The Voice That Gives Life (4 Minutes)

Speaker: "In verses 25–29, Jesus says something wild: Even the dead will hear his voice and live! Imagine a voice so powerful it wakes up people who are sleeping or dead." Interactive Activity: Whisper to Shout Spectrum
Whisper: Ask all 150 students to whisper: "Jesus speaks."
Normal Voice: Ask everyone to say it normally: "Jesus speaks."
Loud Voice: Ask everyone to shout together on three: "JESUS SPEAKS!"
This voice will touch everyone. Everyone. Dead and alive. Think about that. Everyone. It doesn’t matter what you believed in life or believe now. When Jesus arrives again and calls, we all will hear the voice. When that voice is called, we will either go toward death (separation from God) or Life (close to God in heaven)
This is why I am here. This right here. We live in a world full of hundreds of religions, scientologist, or atheist. None of these choices place you on another path. We don’t have a “all paths lead a God” situation here on Earth
I wish that we did! I wish that being a good person was enough.
But here in John 5:28–29 “Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of condemnation.”

4. Conclusion & Response: True or False Pop Quiz (3 Minutes)

John 5:24 “Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.”
Here is the chasm. We have death (separation from God forever) or we have life (With God forever)
