. JOSEPH — GENESIS

1. The word/dream is given — Genesis 37:5–7 Joseph dreamed a dream and told his brothers. In the dream, their sheaves stood around and bowed down to his sheaf.
2. The process begins — Genesis 37:23–24 His brothers stripped Joseph of his coat and threw him into a pit.
3. The process gets harder — Genesis 39:20 Joseph was falsely accused and put into prison.
4. The word happens — Genesis 42:6 Joseph’s brothers came before him and “bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.”
That is the fulfillment of what he saw back in Genesis 37.
And put this beside it because it explains the whole process:
Psalm 105:19 —
“Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.”
Dream → pit → prison → fulfillment.

2. EZEKIEL — EZEKIEL 37

1. The Word goes forth — Ezekiel 37:4
“O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.”
2. The process/commotion starts — Ezekiel 37:7 Ezekiel prophesies as commanded, and then:
“there was a noise, and behold a shaking…”
This is the one you were talking about. The Word went forth, and then the noise and shaking started.
3. Things begin coming together — Ezekiel 37:8 The sinews, flesh, and skin came upon the bones, but there was still no breath in them.
So even after movement started, the work still wasn't finished.
4. The Word is completed — Ezekiel 37:10 The breath came into them:
“and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.”
Word → noise → shaking → coming together → army.

3. HABAKKUK — HABAKKUK 2

This one gives you the principle very plainly.
1. The vision/Word is given — Habakkuk 2:2
“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables…”
2. There is a process and an appointed time — Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time…”
3. It may LOOK delayed — Habakkuk 2:3
“though it tarry, wait for it…”
4. But it WILL happen — Habakkuk 2:3
“because it will surely come…”
That's your message right there:
Given → appointed time → looks delayed → surely comes.

4. JESUS AND THE STORM — MARK 4

This is probably your strongest New Testament example.
1. Jesus gives the Word first — Mark 4:35
“Let us pass over unto the other side.”
Notice: He said the destination before the storm ever happened.
2. Then commotion comes — Mark 4:37
“And there arose a great storm of wind…”
The Word was already spoken, then the storm came.
3. It looks like the Word isn't working — Mark 4:38 The disciples wake Jesus saying:
“Master, carest thou not that we perish?”
They thought they were about to die even though Jesus had already said “the other side.”
4. Jesus speaks again — Mark 4:39
“Peace, be still.”
The wind stopped and there was a great calm.
But here's the verse you definitely want to connect to it:
Mark 5:1
“And they came over unto the other side of the sea…”
