Make people realize how short time is and how eternity is forever
What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but lose his own soul
I remember I used to play Pokemon as a kid and looking back people took advantage of me when it came to trading cards, I would trade strong cards for cutest looking cards I was an idiot. Looking back it was a bad trade
Our life is based on what we choose over what we don’t choose, for others it was better for you to go into trades and not go to a uni that way you save up money and get paid. For some of you going to college or uni then getting a job was better then not going to uni, you traded one for the other and to you it was worth it. We can argue all day about which path is better and both can come up with good arguments for both. All the white parents are like yeah that’s true, the middle eastern and Asian parents are like wait there’s something else other then university?
Topic for another occasion. Today I want to talk about
I want to talk about a certain trade that you are doing in life and that I have done that I just think it’s worse then me trading the most powerful cards for weak but cute pokemon cards.
It’s that you are trading eternity for temporary satisfaction. You have to choice to be with Jesus or with the devil. Jesus offers you His love, peace, joy, prescence in your life, heaven the devil offers you lies such as your not loved/not valuable, he offers you sin (drugs, hook ups/sex), he offers you hell after you die. I chose the devil over Jesus I thought that this was better and it was because I never tried Jesus,it was pretty unfair for me to say the devil’s way is better when I’ve never tried what the other person on the other side is offering, and let’s be honest I kept on doing what the devil was offering me and all it did was leave me broken, empty, depressed, and suicidal and I kept on going that road because I didn’t know that there was something else that was better, but there was and His name is Jesus and when I came to Him I found everything that i was searching for. This is why I am confident that everyone that I am speaking to today who have not given their life to Jesus is also going through what I went through when I didn’t have Jesus in my life. You always have that feeling of being empty you tell your self If I have these friends that void in me will go away/if i hook up with that boy or girl the void will go/if i go to this uni/if i get this job, what happens is that we do what we thing will satisfy us only for us to find out it hasn’t only for us to realize we are still broken/empty and that is because we are far away from God, we don’t like to hear that but if someone is struggling with something there has to be someone who tells them the cause of their struggle and the solution to their struggle and the cause of your struggling is you simply made a bad trade you chose what the devil offers you over a relationship with God, and if I make a bad trade in life I can’t get it back if someone takes my iphone for $100 because I thought it was a good deal no way he’s going to give it back now when we chose the devil over God that’s it we couldn’t have come back to God because the moment we chose what the devil has to offer we sinned and there’s nothing that we can do to fix that mistake that sin will always be there separating us from God, but because God loves you so much even after you have made the decision to go far away from God He paid a heavy price just incase you ould want to come back to Him, He died for you on the cross when you come to Jesus your sin is removed and what that means is that when Jesus was on the cross He took every sin you have ever done to Himself as if He did it and He took the penalty for all these sins which is death upon Himself so when you come to Him your relationship with God is restored because the sin that separated you from God has been removed by Him coming as a man and dying for you on the cross and now you can have the ability to choose God again.
What does a relationship with God look like? Forgiveness, Love, Peace, Joy and heaven but I’m not gonna lie it’s hard because God calls us to live a pure and good life and that looks like repenting of our sins which means leaving our sins behind and following Jesus and it’s not always easy but you will gain Jesus a loving father who gave His life for you so the choice is yours, wether you want to trade Jesus and not have anything to do with Him so you can keep on doing your sins or giving up your sins to gain Jesus
My question to you is this is it worth it to keep on living in your sins for 70 years and be in hell for an infinite amount of time?
What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” — James 4:14
“Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures.” — Psalm 90:10
“Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.” — Psalm 144:4
“Live your whole life for the moment you meet God.”
