Intro-It has been said that the journey of a thousand miles begin with a single step. For some of us we are many steps into this journey for others not so many and some of us have or are about ready to take a big step on this journey, no matter where you are at there are still steps to be taken.

The Definition of Benediction
A benediction is a declaration of blessings from God upon His loved ones. Benedictions, though brief, offer words of assurance or precepts designed to bring joy, peace, comfort, and security to those who place their trust in God.
They can be seen through out scripture
“The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore” ().
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” ().

A Huge Contrast from the worlds view.

His Walk
He doesn't listen to ungodly counsel
He knows it contradicts the counsel of God
This man desires to walk in a worthy manner

He doesn't stand with the sinners
He to is a sinner , but a sinner saved by grace
He can’t avoid nor should he avoid sinners but he stands apart from them

it makes sense that he wouldn't sit with them
Our Council and conduct determine our companions
He already isn't seeking the counsel or doing what they do so why would he hang out with them?
Great lesson to be learned from this

When walking in ungodly counsel, it morphs into use having ungodly conduct which morphs into us sitting and being where we shouldn't be
If we struggle with a sin we can’t even entertain the slightest thought towards it

If you like steak you have no problem paying for it, or driving to get it, why ?

He takes it thinks about it and applies it to all that he does

He praises God with it during the good times
He seeks comfort from it during times of affliction
It is his right hand man
The Ungodly
The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

Everything we just heard about the Righteous doesn’t apply here
the wicked love the counsel of the wicked
They know it wont make them feel the need to change
They conduct themselves now ever they feel at the moment
The feel at home with others who are trapped in sin

This is the useless part of the grain
it is worthless
Blown by the wind and taken away.

In fact not only will he be fruitful but his leaf also will no wither
The healthiest tree you have ever seen
This how ever doesn't mean it wont face problems
There will be storms
However his roots have been fed and he has a firm foundation
A tree is only as good as its roots.

Doesn't mean they wont face judgement, they will
The wont be able to stand and defend themselves
They actually will be kneeling down
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Will not be with the righteous
The wicked will not be in heaven
They wouldnt fit in

To be growing in you journey you have to be moving
The Christian life is about progress
Each day becoming better than we were the day before
it is a marathon, not a sprint we have to keep going
We will be a finished product
Are we delighting in God’s Word?
Are we hungry for it
Are letting it satisfy us?
Does it consume us?
What Path are you headed down?
There are only 2 possible destinations on this Journey
Are we headed for the one of distruction
or are we headed towards the one of blessing .
