Relational Holiness
Relational Holiness is how we view, love and treat others in a holy way. It is different than what is in the world and it is different than what comes naturally in our sin nature.
broke down Holy in all your conduct into four parts. Devotional, personal, relational, missional.
View and act towards God, self, others and mission.
View and act towards God, self, others and mission.
Who god is, who I am, Who they are and who they could be.
Relational Holiness is how we view, love and treat others in a holy way. It is different than what is in the world and it is different than what comes naturally in our sin nature.
For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
Matt 5:
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Col 3
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Be humble before one another. Humble Beast
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
2. See the value in one another. Appendicitisology is bad doctrine.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
3. Help one another. Wolverine Church
Help one another.
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
