16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
What is a healthy house? (markers, things that distinguish)
(part 1)One that Gathers: We come together and we sit athe table. We know each other, its not a case of attending a church, but its a holy spirit revealing to us that we actually BELONG TO A FAMILY.
united in Christ, part of the family of God.
You need me, and i need you. Dont get offended so easily. Dont take the bait. Dont let the devil win twice…. Just like you wouldnt walk away from family you dont walk away from church. We do life together. It maters that we see each other each week..We go through mess together. Thats OK - but it begins with showing up…and that begins with meeting together.
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
(part 2)One that Gives: a place to give.
Giving from a place of revelation (not obligation, not tradition, not even chariuty)
Freewill giving and sacrificial living is what marked the early church.
GOD LOVES WHEN AN OFFERING IS BROUGH BY A HEART THATS STIRRED NOT A HAND THATS FORCED.
We give because we know Christ multiplies the gift. We know that in the church the supernatural power of God is applied to the gift.

There are rythms in any good house. When we come in and we go out would be one of the main ones you would notice. What time you leave what time
The point of the church is to GATHER & SCATTER

Salvation history is a great guide here
What was the whole point of the OT? take for example the exodus from slavery and into the wildneress and then on to the promised land?
God wanted to wage war on sin.
He delivered his people - Salvation
He also wanted to give them their mission…
And he wanted to restore them to community with him.
That same pattern exists today:
Salvation through Jesus
Baptized into the body
Empowered by the holy spirit in the church
Restoration to himself through the bride of Christ, the church
But this has always been the message. What is the message each week? why do you come back and listen to the same message each and every week?
why?
because its so good. Because its so clarifying. Because its so vital for our lives.
Vs 19. Jesus says - GO.
Go and make disciples, with a message.
37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The church exists because it has a message.
what message do we have?
that through Christ - you can believe - and be saved. all your sins forgiven. and be reconciled to God in peace and love and joy for all eternity.

A heatlth CHurch is a missional church.
an active, dunamic, city changing church is one that is ON MISSION.
In yoru life today - are you on mission?
Maybe you would ask in return - what is my mission? itst he message. and the message is so good that it causes you to wake up every day and go on mission.
a message….of hope
and a mission to move that message out into the world.
The church’s mission flows from Christ’s commission and God’s redemptive purposes. The foundational directive calls believers to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” while “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matt 28:18–20) This work unfolds through the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling believers to become “witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
