KEYS TO OPEN DOORS

Colossians 3:12-13

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man quarrel with any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Don't wear modern clothes of gossip. hope you are praying for sister Grace; she is not married yet. Let's pray for brother James; he owes his landlord rent.

People will always address you by what you wear because what you wear speaks volumes about who you are.

Similarly, as Christians, we are called to put on some spiritual clothes that reflect Christ's character.

Our calling mandates us each day to put them on as clothes: compassion and empathy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and love.

Jesus never gossiped about anybody, not even Judas Iscariot, whom he knew would betray him. Don't pretend to be concerned about a brother's challenge by asking for prayers for him, but what you actually want is to let others know about his failures. Every door has a key to gain access to it, and until you have the key, every effort trying to enter the door is in vain. A door is the boundary between the outside and the inside. There are experiences in life that suggest to one that you are outside the door because outside the door is bondage, limitations, unfulfilled dreams, and a lot of struggles, while one door brings freedom, new opportunities, ease, and treasures.

The good news is that your father has the key Rev. 3:7 and He has opened the door for you (v. 8). You will not struggle over any good thing for your life again, in Jesus' name.

Open doors mean new divine opportunities God gives men to have a change of life with ease and less struggle. In Col 3:12-13, the virtues we are called to put on are the key that will open any door for you without effort or struggle.

1. CHARACTER

Character is defined as a distinguishing feature of a person. It's what defines who you are. Your moral traits.

Character is the clothes you wear daily that people see to determine their response and commitment to you.

Your character is your personal master key that can open any door for you. Judah established as a leader who others will praise:

EXAMPLES OF OPEN DOORS THROUGH GODLY CHARACTER

1. Rebekah enjoyed a marital open door through Godly character GEN. 24:17-19, 63-67. V18

2. Elijah enjoyed an open door from the Shunammite (2 Kings 5:19)

3. The door of salvation was open for the centurion and the Gentile

4. Reuben: lost his life because of bad character, sleeping with his father's wife

5. Gehazi

6. Samson: The day you lose your discretion sexually, that is the day you lose your life. Judges 16:18-21

7. Judas Iscaroth

If you can take control of your character, you will be in control of your life.
