1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Roma
1. We are at peace because Christ’s death and resurrection Justified the debt of our sin.

25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
Romans 4:
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2. Prior to Jesus’ work upon the cross we were enemies of God “BUT” now the War Is Over.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
3. We have been given Grace
25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
3. We have been given Grace that is permanent.

(Which We Stand)
(Which We Stand)
18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
38 They shall be My people, and I will be their God;
40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.
Jer 32:4
Romans: The MacArthur New Testament Commentary The Believer’s Standing in Grace
For a believer to doubt his security is to bring into question both God’s integrity and His power. It is also to add the merit of men’s work to the gracious, unmerited work of God. It is to add self-trust to trust in our Lord, because if salvation can be lost by anything that we can or cannot do, our ultimate trust obviously must be in ourselves rather than in God.
4. We have Security through Christ.
4. We have Security through Christ.
we have Hope
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,
We have Glory
22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
Even in Tribulation we are sealed- no worries
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
Perseverance- We have been sealed
It goes back to full circle and back to hope
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Romans: The MacArthur New Testament Commentary The Believer’s Possession of Divine Love
When a person receives salvation through Jesus Christ, he enters a spiritual love relationship with God that lasts throughout all eternity.
