Ac 2:1-13. Tony van Drimmelen. Sunday will be Pentecost Sunday, so an opportunity to talk about the central role of the Holy Spirit in the Christian life. What did happen on the day of Pentecost and what difference does it make in our lives? The pouring out of the Holy Spirit means that men and women have the presence of living God in them. With that comes the promised power to go and make disciples of all nations. Because of Pentecost we have both the means to suffer for that and to rejoice in that. Our praises come from knowing about the work of the Holy Spirit of God to refresh and revitalize us in the gospel; in Jesus Christ.
