The story is told of three men marooned on a desert island with little hope of being rescued. One day they were walking around the Island when one of them picked up an old tarnished lamp. When he rubbed it,a genie appeared and offered to grant each man one wish. The first man said, I wish I was back in my office in Boston puff! He was there. The third man looked around and said; It’s so lonely here, I wish my friends were back with me. The problem with wishing is that genies an magic lamps don’t exist. But God does! Since He is in control of your life and He’s more powerful than that any genie, when your wishes become prayers that lines up with His will, they become a reality. Does the Bible teach that I’m glad you asked. Yes; it say this is the confidence we have in approaching God. If we ask anything according to his will; He hears us. And if we know that he hears us; whatever we ask we know that we have what we asked of him. But even when your wish is in line with God’s will you still need faith.

Faith does two things

It opens our eyes to see that God’s promises are for you personally.
It acts like a magnet drawing the fulfillment of his promise into our life.
So what are you wishing for?

In the New Testament

The word faith is used to translate the Greek word Pistis.
The new Strongs expanded Dictionary of the Bible Word Says, Pistis is used of belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence).
Whether it’s in God or in Christ; Faith means trust, confidence, assurance, and belief. When I read my Bible; I said to myself there has to be something about faith it’s used 227 times in the New Testament. Just a few books to mention faith was used in times, 14 times in Acts, 35 times in Hebrews. say and without faith it is impossible to please God. Because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently seek him.

What Is Faith

An New Testament Example of this is found in . Where two blind men came to Jesus and asked him to heal them. Jesus first asked them, do you believe that I am able to do this? And their reply was yes Lord; then He touched their eyes saying, according to your faith let it be to you and their eyes were opened.
Their faith and assurance that Jesus could give them sight was the substance that Jesus could give them sight was the substance or reality they hope for. It also; gave the evidence that they would receive what they asked for.
An Old Testament Example is that of Daniels three friends who refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar golden image. Those who refused to bow to the image were threatened with being thrown into the fiery furnace.
The three young Jewish men (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego) who refused to bow to the image told king Nebuchadnezzar; if that is the case, our God who we serve is able to deliver us from your hand. O King but if not, let it be known to you , O King that we do not serve your Gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have st up
says ask and it will be given to you seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
I like the New Living Translation
says keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
Faith without work is dead. Dead faith is when one believes in God but does not obey his commandments.
