Note who wrote the book of Revelation?
John was ordered to write, he was the human instrument, but look who the speaker of the book is. “What the Spirit has to say to the churches.”
You know what this means? Usually the Holy Spirit is the inspiration, “Men moved by the Spirit…”
Here, The Holy Spirit Himself is the author.
He is only speaking to one specific group- the ones who hear what the Spirit has to say.
The Spirit is the author because he confirms faith, he reveals truth, He leads people to conviction.
It is God’s Spirit speaking. This is not New Testament alone; this is the Voice who represents to sum total of all revelation- the Voice of Creation which is also the Voice of Revelation. Revelation comes before creation. That is why we are told Abraham called those things that were not as though they were. If the Holy Spirit speaks to you; God is speaking to you.
It is the Spirit of God speaking through Jesus Christ. He is the author and finisher of our faith.. The Alpha and Omega… He shares his knowledge… I know your works… He is coming back for his Bride. Christ gives instruction. He still lives. It is only through the anointing of the Holy Spirit Christ Jesus still lives and speaks.
He said something different to each church. Church was not a congregation in the modern sense. Congregation meant region of believers. You don’t have the means to effect change in the body until you see the church in terms of regions. He said, “My sheep know my voice….”
Christ is the Logos. He is the Word. He is the living intelligence that created the universe, but also set the determination of angels, demons, nations, revivals, movements… spiritual leaders
The Holy Spirit who is speaking to the church is the Spirit of Christ. He will testify of me…
God and Christ Jesus is speaking to us through the Holy Spirit.
Let’s lean in.
…. If you lean in and listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches, then you will hear the sound of the trumpet and at once be taken up into the Spirit.****
Let’s lean in with our hearts. Let’s lean in to truly hear what the Spirit is saying to us.
Let’s lean in as a new posture of faith
