I. Two Realities

1. We have confidence to approach God.

2. We have a great high priest.

Why is focusing on the sacrifice of Jesus more important than focusing on the strength of your own faith?

II. Three Responses

How does knowing that Jesus is our great high priest make us able to obey these commands?

1. Draw near to God.

What does it do in your heart to know we can draw near to God with full assurance?

2. Hold fast your confession.

What characteristics would you use to describe a Christian who has solid unwavering faith in God?

3. Stir up one another.

How can we promote love and good works in our church? How does our concern for each other demonstrate the gospel?
Why did the writer of Hebrews remind his readers that “the Day” is “drawing near” (v. 25)? Why might we need that reminder as we seek to build up the body of Christ at our church?
Why did the writer of Hebrews remind his readers that “the Day” is “drawing near” (v. 25)? Why might we need that reminder as we seek to build up the body of Christ at our church?
How would this passage address the person who says, “I love Jesus; I just don’t need the church”?

Big Idea: Because of Jesus we can live our faith with confidence.
