Train up a child in the way he should go:

And when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Raising Godly Children

Train up a child in the way he should go:

And when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Abraham - He provided a godly example before he ever had children. When he let Lot choose the direction he wanted to go. Abraham did not get his eyes fixed on the things that just look good. By choosing Sodom, Lot suffered heartache.
Matthew 6:19–21 KJV 1900
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Joseph - what a great example! As you recall he was ready to “put away privately” Mary, his espoused wife. But received a visit from an angel. He is no doubt the worlds Greatest Step Father.
James Dobson has often said, “One of the best things a father can do for his children is to love their mother.” That’s what Joseph did. He loved Mary, even when he thought she didn’t love him.

What kind of Story will your Children Tell?

What do you think Jairus’ daughter’s story might sound like?
I was sick and my dad went and got Jesus to come to our house. I was dead and everything! So Jesus told them I was not dead, but asleep! They laughed at Jesus. So He ran out all the nonbelievers! Only ones in the house was, My Dad and Mom, Peter, James, John and Jesus. Jesus took me by the hand and said, Maid, arise! I came back to life! Can you believe it! WOW!
My dad knows Jesus! He knew if Jesus would come to our house, everything would be alright.
Do You Know Jesus? Do you know if He came to your house, everything is going to be alright. Why don’t you invite Him, to your house today?
