Good Morning
This man goes to the doctor in a panic. He tells the doctor, “ You have to help me, I think I am shrinking!” “Now settle down,” the doctor calmly told him. “You’ll just have to learn to be a little patient.”
Please pray for me tomorrow night as I will be preaching at the Anadarko 1st Revival.
On the 18th we are going to have our outdoor service at Comanche lake pavilion. We are going to have a meal afterwards and enjoy the creation that we are learning about.
Men, tomorrow night is Men’s Study at Steve’s house. He is making pasta! It is a good time of study, food, and fellowship. If you are available, I want to encourage you to come.
Friday is the Gospel sing.
Saturday is the Men’s breakfast. It is at 8am.
Today we are going to be in Genesis 1:24-31.
Last week we looked at days 4 and 5 of creation. God separated the land and sea. Then He filled the waters and the air with animals. We talked about how evolution is not possible and looked at the whale and the birds to help prove that. I found this little shrimp called the pistol shrimp. this shrimp is 1 - 2 inches long and one of their claws is disproportionately larger than the other, it is over half the length of the shrimp itself. It uses this claw in hunting and self defense. When hunting, the shrimp usually lies in an obscured spot, such as a burrow. The shrimp then extends its antennae outwards to determine if any fish are passing by. Once it feels movement, the shrimp inches out of its hiding place, pulls back its claw, and releases a "shot", which stuns the prey. The snap of the claw produces a cavitation bubble that generates sound wave that is up to 218 db. That is loud! The average db of a rock concert is around 120db!
The collapsing bubble also generates a short flash of light and a temperature around 8,492 degrees F. The sun is 10,000 degrees F.
The woodpecker’s tongue loops around its head, helping to protect its brain from the force of repeated pecking on trees. No way that is an accident.
God’s creativity and imagination is amazing! He is so good! There are examples of His creativity all throughout creation, all we have to do is look!
Today we are going to look at day 6 of creation. We are going to see more of God’s creativity and imagination. On day 6, God creates all the land animals and us.
Please stand as we prepare to hear God’s Word.
24 Then God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kind: livestock and crawling things and animals of the earth according to their kind”; and it was so. 25 God made the animals of the earth according to their kind, and the livestock according to their kind, and everything that crawls on the ground according to its kind; and God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; 30 and to every animal of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to everything that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so. 31 And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Here is an example of not a great translation from the Hebrew. Our translation makes it sound like the earth produced the animals. The Hebrew word that we translated produce is yaw-tsaw, which means to come out or come forth. God created the animals from the earth. I believe a better translation would be, : Then God said, “ Let the animals come out of the earth.” God used the earth’s materials to create all the land animals. The earth has no power of its own.
Let’s look at a couple of examples of God’s creation that disprove evolution.
Camelids (camels, llamas, and alpacas) have uniquely oval-shaped red blood cells, unlike the round ones we see in most mammals. From a design perspective, this feature points to an incredible adaptation that allows them to thrive in harsh desert and high-altitude environments. Here are some reasons why this oval shape is remarkable:-Survival in dehydration – Camels can lose up to 25% of their body water (far more than most animals) without dying. The oval blood cells allow smoother flow through blood vessels even when the blood becomes thicker due to water loss. Rounded cells would clump, but oval ones keep circulating.-Rapid rehydration – Camels can drink enormous amounts of water in a short time (up to 30 gallons in minutes). Oval cells are more elastic and can expand without bursting, protecting them from sudden osmotic stress.-Efficient oxygen delivery – In high-altitude camelids like llamas, oval blood cells help with efficient gas exchange, allowing them to carry oxygen effectively where oxygen levels are lower. Even the shape of a blood cell reflects foresight and care. God designed camels to survive in arid deserts, llamas in high mountains, and were given just what they needed to thrive in their environments. Rather than being a random accident, the oval camelid blood cell is a testimony of how God equips every creature uniquely for its purpose and habitat.
Ostrich
This bird can be up to 9’ tall. It can kick with a force of 2000 pounds and can kill a lion with its kick. They can run at cruising speeds of up to 37 mph and short bursts of 45 mph. Their eggs weight 3-5 pounds compared to a chicken egg which weights 2 ounces. The egg can support up to 200 pounds.
There are so many land animals that they are uncountable. Scientists believe there are trillions or even more land animals. The majority of them coming from the insects and bugs.
That was only half of God’s work on day 6, next we see God creates mankind. We have the first reference to the Holy Trinity. God has a consultation with Himself. We see it says, Let Us make, in Our image, according to Our likeness. He isn’t talking to the angels, the angels are created beings and they have no power to create and they were not made in His image. We are the only created beings made in God’s image! That is how special and valuable we are. God made us to bear His image!! Wow! He truly saved the best for last.
I think there are two reasons God created mankind last.
so that we could not say that we created anything. If we were created first, we would think that we had something to do with creation.
Since we are created to bear His image and the earth is the temple of God, the temple had to be created first before we could inhabit it. The temple has to be made before there is a need for the priests to be needed.
There is only one true expression of God and that is Jesus Christ. He being the Son of His Father, He has His Father’s nature. We are only image bearers. It is like the coin that has a image stamped on it. Back in Biblical times, that image was of the King. That coin was not the king, it only had his image on it. In the same way, God has stamped His image on us. One way we bear His image is in that we are to rule over all creation. We don’t rule as God rules. We rule as a governor or representative of the Creator. Another way is in our holiness and knowledge. God set us apart for Himself. He has made mankind holy by making us in His image. He has given us a knowledge that no other creation has. We are made to know Him.
Think about how it was before sin. Adam and Eve walked with God daily in the garden. Imagine waking up and walking around a garden casually talking with God as He is walking next to you. That is how it is supposed to be, sin has ruined that, for now.
After we see that we are to rule over all of creation, we see that we were created male and female. Why do you think God put this in the beginning of the Bible? Because He knew what we would be going through today. We are battling an identity crisis in our society. We have lost our Biblical identity of image bearers. That has led to the madness that we see today. People who are created in the image of God are saying that they are a cat or a dog or who knows what. We have gone from being God’s special creation made in His image to rule as His representative to acting like we are just one of God’s created animals. Oh how far we have fallen.
God created us male and female so that we could be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. That is the only way that we can reproduce is with one man and one woman. That alone should be enough to know that homosexuality is wrong. They can not reproduce on their own. It is only in mankind that we see homosexuality play out. The animals don’t do it. When a male animal tries to have sex with another male, it is to show dominance over him, not to have a relationship with him.
When I think of all the sin and evil in mankind, it makes we wonder why He chose us to bear His image. To think that we are chosen to bear His image, how wonderful is Heaven going to be, when we are restored to our original pre sin state when God saw that it was very good.
Creation was so good before sin that we didn’t even need bacon! God gave us all the plants and fruits as food. Not only us but all the animals as well. There was no death before sin. Sin caused death and that is it’s wages.
We see that God didn’t say it was good, He saw all that He had made and it was very good!
Sin sure has changed that!
I want to show you the protein that God created that holds all of our cells together. It is called Laminin.
God truly is amazing in His power and creativity. He built in the cross as what holds us together. The symbol of redemption is built into our cells!
We serve an amazing God. Before sin entered into the world, God knew. The cross and the Messiah have been the way since before creation.
How good is God? He chose us as His image bearers knowing that we would wreck that with our sin, but He would provide a way to restore that image in His Son on the cross. He put that cross in us before we even knew what a cross was.
Let’s pray
