Review of part 1 and part 2

The overview:
There are three important element s to prayer:
1. God - who is at the foundation, upon whom and around whom every other things revolve
2. You - the person who is engaging prayer as a tool: of relationship with God, as a tool of fellowship with God, or as a tool of asking and receiving from God
3. The transaction of your prayer - the reason for which you are asking, the reason why you are knocking the door of God.
A. The insignia of identity: The badge of identity: what is your identity? because all the promises of God are to the to the children of the kingdom, which includes answers to our prayers. I will show us, at least few of the most important promises and how it is tied to your identity as a child of God.
1.
The promise of salvation is to only those who turned away from their iniquity
Isaiah 59:20 ESV
20 “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the Lord.
salvation is the only way by which anyone can change identity, from being a sinner to becoming a saint; salvation changed your identity from being a child of the devil to a child of God.
salvation will come only to those who turned from their iniquity
B.
john 15:
John 15:5–8 ESV
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
