Reaping and Sowing.
Reaping and Sowing.
The Word is clear over and over and especially in the proverbs we will reap what we sow.
And sowing to righteousness is the main thrust here and the rewards are various.
as we read thru these proverbs it will be evident wisdom is telling us to avoid unnecessary conflict, being content, and honest gain is better than dishonest gain.
The proverbs of Solomon.
A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.

The proverbs of Solomon.
A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.
Their is nothing more heartbreaking then seeing a parent of a grown fool.
— 2 Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death. 3 The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.
We have a promise as followers of Christ
— 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Even though God promises to provide for us we have a responsibility for diligent hard, honest work.
— 4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. 5 He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.
— 6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. 7 The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
— 8 The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. 9 Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.
