Catching Up
In all our previous visits to God’s Word as it began to go out on the Day of Pentecost, we have seen God’s power displayed in tongues of fire, sounds of a rushing winds, and healing of a man born lame.
Power from God, opposition by enemy and men.
We now get a glimpse of opposition that comes from within the community of believers itself.
The reputation of the numerous believers is making this a pretty attractive place to be related to.
But that is going to change dramatically as we see in today’s passage.
