Introduction:
In our modern internet fueled society, we are people who need things fast, information comes fast to us, we can look up any answer on our computer phones, we have to have things fast, fast food, fast travel; waiting and listening has become something of a lost art.
This morning we have heard an interaction between God in flesh, Jesus and man, of course the wisdom of God shows just how much man needs God to point the way towards true wisdom.
We are in a culture that talks about wisdom a lot, but the things that are done in the name of wisdom are not wise.
Our legal system is corrupted, the scales of Justice are always balanced towards those who have and not towards those who have nothing.
God’s wisdom is despised, His wisdom is thrown away and a new modern wisdom is put in the place of God’s wisdom, this modern wisdom is not new, no nothing is new under the sun, all of the world’s wisdom has been tried before and failed miserably.
Today we heard God in flesh, Christ Jesus speak Godly wisdom to men who thought they were wiser than the Creator.
Cant we see how this “wisdom” only brings pain and grief?
The wisdom of Messiah was foretold and recognised in Jesus Christ
