The Sound of Unity
The Sound of Unity
There is a sound of division in the world!
God desires to produce unity in us! Its a crucial stone in our spiritual house.
God the father the son and holy spirit are one! this is the example to be followed
Unity is an act or worship!
And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions), and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets—indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
2 Chronicles 5:11-14
Unity makes a sound!
God responds to the sound His people make when they are as one!
Perspective: God is all about Unity
Perspective: God is all about Unity
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
You can’t be in God without unity!
Unity is the work that brings us into fellowship with God and with others.
Attitude: Unity is God’s work in us!
Attitude: Unity is God’s work in us!
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
As we “join” God’s team we will have to be united with Him and all the other players on the team. We can’t say we are just united with Christ! because we are United with Christ
Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Part of our witness to the world is Unity
The Glory of God produces Unity
Jesus describes perfection and His love in us, as when we walk in Unity
Response: Choose to keep Unity

Unity is the work of God in us.
Because we have been given such great love we can share it with all.
Unity is also a choice. Today we can choose to agree with God and His spirit and His saints!
Lets Join our hearts in one accord in unity to what God is doing!
