TEBOW LEAVING! What?!

Sermon

is our text.

The Issue…verses 24-26

Plain disbelief (verses 24-26)
Vs. 25 The works bear witness
Here’s some of them...
Audible Affirmation from God in
Jesus turns water into wine at the wedding.
reveals the past of the woman at the well. Blows her mind.
Heals the officials son in and then heals the invalid.
he feeds 5,000 and walks on water.
he heals the man born blind...
This is all just before chapter 10. I’d say there were some works to believe.

They didn’t believe, maybe you’ve not believed/witnessed?

Reconciliation
Redemption
Forgiveness
New Life
Full of the Holy Spirit and led by the Spirit...

The Insight…verses 27-30

Verse 27, how convenient for Jesus to reflect on the relationship between he and his people considering chapter 10-21 reflect on Jesus calling himself the Good Shepherd.

The Injustice…verses 31-33

Even though Jesus has performed miracles and healings, they don’t believe/or like that he’s calling himself God.
**This is a huge problem (considering the audience) that we’re going to work out in today’s sermon.**

The Rebuke…verses 34-38

Corrupt humans being called on to perform divine tasks.
Still corrupt....and missing it.
Jesus calls them on it...

The Conclusion…verses 39-42

Belief and success of the Gospel and God’s work regardless of the stubborn.

Second Part/Illustration/Isaiah 55

TEXT COMPARISON WITH

As stated earlier, commands are given to heed the wisdom and command of God throughout verses 1-7, then God drops his wisdom on it by saying I’m above you (I’m Holy). Then drills his conviction.
Here’s why I think this takes place. The same reason we see in .
PLAIN DISBELIEF
So how does God respond? The same way Jesus rebukes those questioning him....with the Word.
John 10:34-
John 10:34–38 ESV
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken— 36 do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”
GONNA HAVE TO WORK THROUGH REST OF THIS FROM STAGE

Conclusion

Wanna go beyond the surface of the “knowing the Word” like I know names and see Jesus in you as I see Christ in ALL OF SCRIPTURE
John 5:39–40 ESV
39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.
John 5:39 ESV
39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,
Luke 24:27 ESV
27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
