Introduction The 5 biggest lies Satan told Me (and probably told you) Matthew 13:24-28 Jesus put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ (V.39) The enemy who sowed them is the devil. Lie No. 1: Enjoy yourself, you have plenty of time Luke 12:20 God said to him, “Fool! This night your soul is required of you!” Amos 4:12c Prepare to meet your God! James 4:14b What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Acts 24:25 Felix said, “Paul, go away for the present. When I get opportunity I will summons you!” Lie No. 2: God wants me to be happy so I can seek what brings me happiness Psalm 119:133 NIV Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me! Lie No. 3: Acquiring possessions (things) will make me happy Luke 12:15 Jesus said, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist of possessions!” Lie No. 4: You will never have any fun if you just follow God and His church and church people Genesis 3:1 The serpent (Satan) was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord had made! Lie No. 5 Money is the key to happiness I Timothy 6:10 The love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. I Timothy 6:7 We brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world! Conclusion Satan will always tell us what we want to hear. Satan will never show you the consequences of what he offers. Many fall to his lies and doom themselves to hell. Remember, if it sounds too good to be truly, it always is.
