Nature of revival
Scripture indicates that a number of characteristics precede revival, including repentance, humility and obedience.
I was listening this week to Pastor John Kilpatrick he was the pastor at Brownsville church the became the largest revival ever.
It happened because he prayed.
Characteristics which precede revival
God’s people long for renewal of their lives
To have true revival we must repent.
When we repent we have a new awareness of sin.
We have to humble ourselves and truly confess the truth.
we have to stop lying to ourselves.
God’s people are revived through God’s initiative
God’s people are revived through God’s plans for there lives.
Characteristic results of revival
People experience inward change
In conclusion
People live obedient lives
