1 John 1:
What was from the beginning,
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we have observed
and have touched with our hands,
concerning the Word of life—
that life was revealed,
and we have seen it
and we testify and declare to you
the eternal life that was with the Father
and was revealed to us —
what we have seen and heard
we also declare to you,
so that you may have fellowship along with us;
and indeed our fellowship is with the Father
and with His Son Jesus Christ.
We are writing these things
so that our joy may be complete.
Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him. If we say, “We have fellowship with Him,” yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
God is light-

God is the source of light that shine
the word of God gives light because it is from God
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
the bible is of God and guides and directs our lives
Your word is a lamp for my feet
and a light on my path.
We don’t have to wonder where we should
or what our lives should look like
Light shines through darkness
the darker it is the more light shines
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves because of Jesus. For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.
in God there is no evil

As Light, God both exposes man’s sin and condemns it. If anyone walks in darkness, he is hiding from the truth which the Light reveals
He shines
through his creation
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky proclaims the work of His hands.
through His word
The revelation of Your words brings light

through His son
to give knowledge of salvation to his people

Through the good things He has given us
Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning.

If we say, “We have fellowship with Him,” yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

We sin
we all fall
we make mistakes
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
But God is a faithful

God knows we aren’t perfect
but yet He choses us
in our brokenness
in our failures
in our shame and guilt
verse 10 -If we say we do not sin we make Him out to be a liar, and His word in not in us
My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ the Righteous One.
God is Faithful and when we stumble we can go to Him
He is a good Father and He longs to be gracious to us
Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy,
and is rising up to show you compassion,
for the Lord is a just God.
All who wait patiently for Him are happy.
